On what channel? I only ever remember it airing on TechTV in the States.

Hey I got an idea for a spine tingling, bone chilling analog horror story.
It's about a guy livestreaming himself looking at court documents about strange anomalous cases that are a bit out of this world, but each sequential upload of these streams he starts to act a little more off and unease about things. There are strange figures that appear in the corner that he looks over at or appear for a frane behind him, as well as things phasing through the ceiling he looks at too. Eventually it all comes to pass and has to call the police on himself, only to reveal his wife and kids are dead, the house is decrepit, and he sits there with a blank look on his face as if he's been sitting there streaming for what felt like decades with no one to come look for him.
They take him in and test him to reveal he had 4500g of cocaine in his hair follicles and neglected to feed anyone or let them out of the house. He may be caught, but the demons still follow him. 👃

The closest thing would be Arcade Craniac. They're making bank off of typical 3AM videos and mascot horror but not they're not taking themselves seriously at all. Mutahar made a video on them a while back.

Almost done going through the highlights of this thread. It is a lot to go through but it's interesting to see the contents and opinions on the creators change over the years, along with a couple funny spats in the thread too. Lots of privated videos but context usually is available in a reply. Not too many looping topics.
It was fun enough to go through so I can lurk new posts.

The TSUKI Project website was a banger too, but I remember it going down some years ago. Turns out some hero archived the whole thing. This was the version I knew best, I remember somehow hunting down that main menu song via inspect element or some such. Also, if anyone has ever heard about the Serial Experiments Lain suicide cult (dont know how surface-level knowledge that would be, probably pretty high up), this was the website for that.

Kiwifarms should rebrand itself in the style of these websites to scare off even more normies.

How did all of these old-web/geocities-inspired projects degrade from this to a festival of troonery. All of this sounds like those old schizo websites that made your spin for weeks, do you know more about this thing? Sounds extremely interesting

Sadly most of this stuff wasn't on my radar when it was popular, but if I had to wager a guess, it's similar to why Discord is the way it is in part: it was (far as I understand) quite easy to make these websites, just like how its easy to make Discord servers. I'm sure the difficulty is not exactly comparable between the two but still, when talentless hacks saw those with talent make it big, they could give it a shot as well.
