My problem with Elden Ring is that it feels empty at times. Pretty environment with nothing to do besides looking at it. I understand that it's part of the story, but it's still a game and it should serve a purpose. They even removed the bestiarium before the game was released. Thanks Fromsoft. Kinda sad that the $40 DLC didn't improve what's lacking.

What you are saying doesn't make sense. This DLC is fucking shit but it's not a product of laziness, to the contrary. The amount of time spent on these animations must have been enormous. The gameplay is garbage because I don't think they have good boss fight designers left on this company, or they are making games exclusively for Twitch retards who beat these games at lv1 and =0 weapons.

It’s pretty fucking lazy. The catacombs are literally just legos if you have dev tools. The only good legacy dungeon is Mesmer’s castle.

Also there are only two mandatory bosses.

Well, it's going to sound like a "no shit" moment, but I've been exploring and looking for Scad fragments, got my blessing up to +13. Things are much more manageable now. Going to just take my time and keep exploring, which is probably what's intended in the first place. I get the idea behind them, but I'm going to repeat what someone else said and say that From really should have just tuned this for endgame setups in the first place. Looking for fragments feels like the kind of needless padding people rightly criticize Western open-world games for.

I do agree with this. Fragment hunting is very annoying and it feels like there aren't enough spread out early on to make the DLC less of a two shot fest.

They should have worked more like the power ups in Sekiro. Defeating bosses and tough enemies should have made you stronger, rewarding you bit by bit for beating powerful foes in addition to them being spread around the map.

Rotten spear, frenzied flame shield, poke and poke and swap to a cold/bleed spear once he's rotted. Oh and my mimic on the side with the finger talisman/staff so he could spam healing and the pest spell. Wasn't my best moment but honestly fuck that boss, he's broken as hell.

Also Miquellas gay grab attack can be nulled by using his broken rune after, if he grabs you twice - you get your heart stolen. Miyazaki really did a jk and made you, the player, gay all along

Attack power worked well in Sekiro because it was predictable. By the time you get your second power up, you know that it's only serious bosses that drop them. Getting filtered? Try going elsewhere. No need to hunt a needle in a haystack. Get your hp up. Get more gourd seeds. On my first playthrough I kept a note pad keeping track of all the dead ends that seemed like they'd lead somewhere and shit that was filtering me, and worked at them until something gave and I could progress.

Mesmer's moveset is just a bunch of similar looking attacks, with weird delayed timings, that have slightly different timings between them.
He has like 4 moves where he jumps into the air and attacks the ground, all of them have different air timings, 3 of those will have a second damage source from an explosion that happens a bit after the lands, which also have slightly different timings.
This is just an example, but it really feels like his entire move-set was designed around this gimmick.

And that’s a great point that made me realize another reason I find it so creepy.
