I wrote the lyrics, Suno matched pretty closely to what I had in my head for the rhythm and instrumentation.
[Chorus]
Down at Sneed's Feed and Seed
You can buy all kinds of wares
Tomato seeds
Tobacco seeds
And even gummy bears
We used to be a different place
But then we changed our name
The products you can buy from us
are really much more tame
[Verse]
Ohhh
Come on down to Sneed's Feed and Seed
No matter who you are
You can wear your Gucci loafers
In your fancy German car
And even if you have a manicure, Well, that's alright with me
Cause Sneed's Feed and Seed is the place you oughta be
[Chorus]
Down at Sneed's Feed and Seed
You can buy all kinds of wares
Tomato seeds
Tobacco seeds
And even gummy bears
We used to be a different place
But then we changed our name
The products you can buy from us
are really much more tame
[Verse 2]
And If you chance on Sneed or Chuck don't forget to say hello (hello)
We'd love to sell some seeds to you
and see just what you'll grow
[Chorus]
Down at Sneed's Feed and Seed
You can buy all kinds of wares
Tomato seeds
Tobacco seeds
And even gummy bears
We used to be a different place
But then we changed our name
The products you can buy from us
are really much more tame

Goddamnit, not unexpected but sucks that it's happening so soon. We cannot have nice things. So many songs left unsung *sigh*
It was genuinely fun to dabble in a medium that I'd have no access to otherwise, given that I have no ryhm, singing voice or musical ability whatsoever.

Very interesting how thia will play out, will music industry destroy AI? Will music companies realize that they can just shit out AI songs and make profit, completely fucking up artist? Anyway it's has to be interesting.

I remember hearing about a similar lawsuit regarding Microsoft's Copilot AI, and how it scraped data from Github (including copyleft and even apparently private, proprietary repos) to use for its code generator. The legal implications of AI companies using copyrighted material in their training data, as far as I'm aware, have not been fully worked out in the court system, and so it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

On the one hand, it would be very difficult to tie any creation by the AI to any particular copyrighted work. On the other, if there are copyrighted works in the training data of an AI, those copyrighted works were objectively used in the creation of anything that AI puts out, even if the final creation bears little to no resemblance to any of them. Interesting stuff.

Funny timing on something.
I tried making a lowtax song a while back (months ago) and suno didn't want to generate the song because the lyrics were too problematic. I don't think I tried again back then.

Tried again in light of your post, with different lyrics. Still pretty edgy, but this time, I got my song. Really makes you think.
Lyrics:
[Intro]
Lowtax,
deadbeat father,
alcoholic,
once upon a time,
you had it all,
but you let the troons win!

[Chorus]
Lowtax,
you absolute failure!
you hit women,
and lied about it!
Hid behind mommy!
Then ran away,
escaped from,
the consequences!
Lowtax,
you failed at life!

[Instrumental break]

[Outro]
Enjoy hell, fatty
by the way,
mommy's coming for you,
while something awful,
laughs at your death!
Style: rock, energetic, drums, 90s rock, male vocalist

EDIT: made another one, this time about the famous Mangosteen post.

[Intro]
It was may two thousand six,
Lowtax wanted to shill,
something about a fruit,
mangosteen,
or whatever it's called,
then he got criticized,
uh-oh!
Here it comes!

[Chorus]
SO DON'T,
FAWKIN BUY IT,
DON'T FAWKIN DRINK IT,
DON'T FAWKIN,
CLICK MY LINKS!
People think,
I'm scamming them,
what do they know?
Fawk them all!
Mangosteens rule!

[Instrumental break]

[Outro]
Ah, fawk it,
I'm closing this thread,
I can never post anything,
without you shedding it up,
thanks for running me,
out of my own,
god damn forum!
Style: 80s rock, energetic, drums, male vocalist,

I love that this added the extra uh-ohs

I imagine that the big outcome from this is that discovery will lead to both Suno and Udio disclosing their methods of training their AI wether they win or lose. It kinda sucks for them because even if they win the lawsuit against the copyright agencies, they'll be giving away their formula for how they made the AI and it'll be a lose-lose situation. I could also see UMG and those like them getting that knowledge to make their own competitor and then try to take ownership of the whole AI music creation space. Hope I'm wrong on that.

And you can't dance!

Worst case scenario, as the rightsholders, they can have the AI toys but you can't. Of course, this will go badly for them if it reaches SCOTUS and they get an unfavorable outcome. Suno pulled at least $125 million in funding so they can definitely pay for lawyers.

I see 4 possible endings of this:
  1. Bad ending. Corpo kikes shut it down
  2. Neutral ending. Corpo kikes fuck off, things continue as before.
  3. Good ending. Corpo kikes slapped so hard, that it opens a venue to counter sue copytheft enforcers into oblivion
  4. Nuclear ending. Going open source and release it to public similarly to stable diffusion, so you can generate it locally at your home
Death to copyright

The Music industry is scared that the normalfags will find out that the slop music they consume can easily be made by robots now, and that the "talented" famous musician they idolize are a bunch of hacks getting pushed by the industry.
