Surprising if true. Bob and Celeste really seem to be all-in on Nick being a dindu.
So in this clip, Drex claims to have been naive then saw the cokestream clip on the Tuesday and to have been concerned but had to work.
His specific verbiage wrt to contacting Nick's family was that he "reached out to the parents, this is not okay" in preparation for the Saturday intervention.
So there is some room for interpretation as he doesn't specifically name Bob & Celeste.
In theory "the parents" could be:
- Nick & Kayla
- Bob & Celeste
- Kayla's folks
I missed it the first time (I listened to the clip in bed), but Drex claiming to organize an intervention and reaching out to "the parents" was a long-winded answer to a direct question where Camelot asked Drex in a hypothetical situation where he knew more whether he would report to CPS if he had first-or-secondhand knowledge of child endangerment via neglect/drug use/swinging.
Drex gave a minutes long answer and didn't answer yes or no. He claims he didn't know, wouldn't trust secondhand info if presented, but "wouldn't tolerate drugs". Instead of answering the question, he implies he "reached out to the parents" and organized an intervention after work when he found out.
So in a roundabout way, Drex admits he wouldn't made a CPS report if he knew, he claims he would've handled things personally instead.
In this "Would've contacted CPS?" line of questioning, it's possible that Drex's "reaching out to the parents" is in fact talking to Nick & Kayla instead of a claim that he contacted Bob & Celeste in Tampa re: the future intervention.
Edit: holy typos Batman
