Two ways to look at that.

What the fuck has Roblox been doing adding these connections to other social media platforms? They already can't moderate their own, so just push it off onto the other hellholes that don't even pretend to have an age gate? I know, this one seems to be from Discord's side, but Roblox has allowed links to Discords and Twitters for years now.

You answered your own question. it is in their best interest to encourage off-site communication because then it isn't their problem.
and for what it's worth, if the news broke tomorrow that Roblox moderators and discord admins were working together to groom children, it really wouldn't surprise me.
