There's also something very funny about John wanting the obituary but without any details about why he thinks he would deserve one. Like even a delusional person would surely say "for my political efforts" or "the gaming industry innovations" or "my acting career" or something knowing that there needs to be some reason their death would be noticed at a national level. I'd never think I'd deserve one but if you asked me hypothetically it would be extrapolating off something I've actually done in my life but elevated to a higher level that people would respect, so posting on the Kiwi Farms obviously. But John is thinking of it as just a celebration of him as an entity, not anything that would bring deserving attention.

Yeah, he did that thing where he revealed just how ignorant he truly is by "explaining" it. The wars the US fought against the British, Mexicans and Germans aren't comparable to just that one of many many conflicts between Japan and China over the centuries. Let alone comparable to the fact that within recent generations the Japanese committed some of the world's most horrific crimes against the Chinese in a borderline exterminationist campaign to establish an ethnic slave empire in Asia. John thinks it was just a minor dustup between militaries over a couple years or something.
The Mexican-American War example is also perfect because it shows he's not only ignorant of Japan/China but ignorant of American history too. That was a deliberately instigated invasion by the United States to seize massive amounts of land from a weak neighbor lmao, does he think there was some Mexican atrocity against Americans or something he should be aggrieved about? They didn't even cross the border into America I don't think, all the fighting was in Mexico.
