Might be the council. In the article it is mentioned that the traffic lights turn rather quickly. We have that in my area too and it's dangerous as hell, they expect pedestrians to be able to sprint across the road, apparently. If that's what happened that is horrific, because the guy in the car may have had a green light and never saw it coming.

The lights might have failed; the old man possibly shouldn't have been there; the truck window frame may have obscured the driver's vision, but an attentive driver would not have mown down a pedestrian like that. I hope the useless bastard gets a rotten long jail sentence.

EDIT: Just learned that the dead man was old Tony Cakes, the gangster. Don't know what to think now. I wouldn't want to be Mr Trucker when the Sicilians find out though.

John Gotti's son was killed by a a traffic collision, Jr was was riding his trike or something and killed the kid unintentionally. The driver disappeared shortly after either running and hiding for his life or he's in somewhere in a crushed car next to Jimmy Hoffa.

I feel bad for the guy I'm sure he never intended to kill John Gotti's child. 2 weeks ago sitting in a my mustang that happens to have very loud exhaust at a red light, you can hear the thing idle half a block away. It's small street, the right hand corner has building blocking view of anything from more than 15 feet including people on the sidewalk. This retarded nigger girl about 16 our so waits for the very second the light turns green to go full speed on a rental scooter on the sidewalk from behind the building on my right. She ignores the internationally recognized "DO NOT CROSS" hand, and if she looked slightly up she'd see she's running a red light, all while going against traffic on the sidewalk full speed on a rental scooter. I slam on the brakes and in the fashion only niggers can do looks back and gives me this "fuck you" look.

But when you’re actually in the dangerous situation yourself, it’s not that uncommon to be paralyzed by fear, like the guy in the kebab shop during the Halle shooting. or have your brain go “no fucking way am I going to survive if I try that” despite being a more logical option.

I've always told myself in an active shooter scenario I'd do everything I could to kill the attacking party. I'll probably die either way but at least, they'll have this awesome clip of me charging a guy with an AR-15 and trying to beat them to death with a random object like fire extinguisher or stab them with with a broken bottle. If I'm ever diagnosed with stage 4 cancer or something without a chance I'm going to set aside at least $10,000 for coke fentanyl and Sildenafil. I will then find go through hookers and drugs like I'm trying to die.
