Nicholas Rekieta v The Raccoons
Oldboy Hallway Fight Scene

The idea was given to me by user @ChromaQuack. This was quite a challenge, but was fun to do!
His last defiant stream was quite a bounty of audio clips I see :story:

It seems despite all his posturing OldCoom was brought down by the Minnesotan prude coons in the end, very sad.

It's actually astounding. I have never stopped enjoying someones content that quickly.
I used to watch his streams almost every day he had them back in 2019 during the Vic case, and it appeared like he cared about putting on a show ("For the fans"). He gave up on that really quickly.

As to why I stopped watching, for me it was simple: I was sick of him spending the majority of the stream bitching about his personal life and trying to make himself the subject of the streams, while he became increasingly incompetent at running a stream and seemed like he was actively avoiding to put any effort in (like getting documents ready). And his excuses for doing the bare minimum when he wasn't (later confirmed) to be actively avoiding were weak cuck horseshit.

And then it got worse when he decided to focus on his sex life and relationship advice that nobody asked for (two of the people he's claimed to help have divorced, btw).

And then it got worserer (that's my word, deal with it) when he literally told people who wanted law content to fuck off for being faggots.

I'd tuned out long before that step but that just made my clean break even easier. Everything I've seen from him after around November 2022 has been from here.

How dare I want quality content? Lmao

This is a new clipper who makes some efforts to transform. She sometimes adds commentary. Her efforts in this clip of Nick doing bible study are hilarious.
She seems promising. I cracked up at the beginning but noped out quickly. Hearing Nick gleefully peddle outright lies about Dovid HaMelech made me sick to my stomach.

If someone even jokingly said that Lester Burnham was a POS who deserved eternal hellfire (no lies detected), Balldo would probably burst into tears of rage. But he thinks it’s hilarious to shit-talk the man who authored almost all of the Psalms and merited to be progenitor of Moshiach.

Again, Nick:

(Fun fact: King Shaul demanded from David a dowry of 100 foreskins taken from the Philistines, his enemies, in order to marry his daughter Michal.)

Nick is worse but at his height Ralph was definitely more content although i like the corner demon memes do they match the kissing gunt gif or mc jarbo songs.
Ralph was way more fun, Rekieta´s was just a whiny, faggy descent into madness. He also has plenty of safeguards for his downfall, Ralph is in a tin shack in Mexico dating cartel prostitutes.

"Happiness, as it happens, is a useless emotion. If an animal's circumstances are good, by which i mean it is sheltered, well fed, has fathered its requisite cubs, then that is reward enough alone. There is no need for a special emotion to narcotise the creature into letting its guard down, for then it may find its circumstances rapidly deteriorating.

But humans, we still dream of happiness. Sometimes we confuse it for the reward felt overcoming a challenge, the sensory delight of a good meal in pleasant surroundings, the ecstasy of a lover's embrace. But these are fleeting things, transactional rewards from the body in recompense for obedience to its imperatives, so unlike the lasting bliss we spend our whole lives seeking.

Consider now Nicholas Robert Rekieta. A man comfortable and safe beyond the wildest dreams of primitive man's designer. A man unfamiliar with the pain that serves as the yardstick by which we measure joy. A man so unaccustomed to the silence of deprivation that would have given the joyful noise of his life meaning. Like any other, he has his eyes set on happiness - In his case, just another pseudonym for the white powder preperation we call cocaine.

Now watch as Rekieta's shaking hands grip the steering wheel, and with pedal pressed to metal, the hood of his V6 Mustang veers perilously towards... THE TWILIGHT SEKTUR"

You call them safeguards, I call it retard content funding.

If Ralph had more money he'd be travelling around the world and getting beat up in 109 different countries, instead he rots in a shack.

If Nick had no money or safeguards he could not try to flex only to get laughed at and have his Narc Injury heat allergy flare up, he could not construct a palace of cope that would be entertaining to demolish brick by brick, he could not have gotten into the coke and $200 whiskey bottles habit that eventually birthed the meme of him reading "anime sucks cope and sneed" 11 times. His ego depends on him being above the plebians, a broke Nick would be broke in more ways than just financial.

I disagree. People like Emily Baker and the good looking dude with long hair have been consistently getting huge numbers post Depp. Nick was just lazy and didn't want to do the law stuff. The sad thing is he still could have pivoted to the entertainment side and retained a decent size audience if he didn't go full degeneracy. Once coom-alot and JuJu became frequent guests is when I never looked back.
If by good looking dude with the long hair you mean The Lawyer You Know, Peter Tragos, he's currently streaming a replay of the Karen Reed closing arguments to 31k viewers. Idiotic how Nick fumbled the ball with this business model so he could look for swinging partners.

I sort of get it in a way, trial Streaming is just glorified react content from lawyers, but it's react content that's longform rather than a bunch of small clips pasted together, you can't really walk away from it easily.

But then if Nick was so against a 9 to 5 following court room drama he could have just brought on a suitable co-host who would take over the lawyer panel whenever Nick ducked out for an hour or two, it would be easy enough to catch him up afterwards, they could even clip certain parts out for him. The problem with this is that Nick would always want to remain in control and the thought of someone else taking over, maybe doing it better than him, would effectively stop him from taking those breaks. The whole situation would be intolerable for someone as controlling as Nick.

I think Nick was also upset those streams weren't getting him 80k-100k daily views like Rittenhouse and Depp did. I too thought Theodore Edgecome and other local stuff werr great, but they "only" were getting live views in the thousands and maybe ten thousands.

A characteristic of NPD is grandiosity, feeling like they're just inherently higher quality than most. I think Nick tricked himself into thinking he was generating those views because he's just so funny and entertaining to listen to. Not because they were cases that had national attention.

That was probably also why Nick made that big speech about "canceling himself" out of lawtube because he hates being labeled. It was really because he was seething others were doing as well, if not better than him, doing "his" thing.
I actually think he could have gotten big views like that but he was not willing to put in the extra effort. He got big because he was first and got lucky with the two big trials, but by that point he was already unwilling to put in the actual work to be entertaining. He could have done that and didn't. Which is wild because now we are looking at so many big cases there's barely enough coverage to go around between Young Thug, Karen Read, and Baldwin.

Emily she is funnier and is not a booze coke filled lawyer. She also has been doing this gig a whole lot better the Baldo.

You all have part of it, but let me summarise Nick's issue:

He did not treat his fucking job like a job; he treated it like a hobby. He got one of the easiest jobs on the planet and didn't want to maintain it.

You can see this attitude in his sparse employment record, stories about defying his bosses, hatred of authority, rash of lame excuses, trail of broken promises, and whinges about the difficulties of being a streamer that NO ONE ELSE can understand.

There was also the fact that Nick's legal predictions were fantastically wrong due to his inexperience, so that insecurity could have played a part, but if he had networked properly and gotten a co-host or profit-share agreement with other lawyers, he could have made up for that--even without bringing up on his law. He could have been the face of LawTube.

I miss these heresy rants, but I imagine Nick is sick of talking about spirituality. Shame. He unironically could use some Jesus right now.

If you don't want to react to circus clown cases any more, BECOME the circus clown case.
He finally found something interesting and convenient enough to make him work a little.

Selfish people with dependencies feel like life is so complicated and stressful and don't accept that it's complicated and stressful because they allocate 80% of their life, time, energy, and focus to the addictive things and expect the rest of life - work, kids, home - that are normally the 80% to fit into 20%. Some people wake up and adjust their percentages; others figure out how to get rid of the things standing in the way of their making that 80% into 100%, one way or another. Making a business of your bad choices, losing your kids, and ignoring your home is one way to do that, I suppose.

Emily she is funnier and is not a booze coke filled lawyer. She also has been doing this gig a whole lot better the Baldo.
*also knows what she's talking about and has some real experience

I remember Nick advising the DUI Guy in the aftermath of the Depp trial about how this was a once-in-a-lifetime event, and that he should expect a dramatic drop-off in viewership when it was over. He seemed to have a very realistic understanding at the time of how trial streams are a niche thing. I'm not sure Nick thought he could continue to get Depp views, but I do think he convinced himself he could get regular trial stream views just doing stand up and talking about his sleazy desires.

I also think we can't underestimate how much Nick hates anybody telling him what to do, expectations, obligations, or anything that would require him doing anything he doesn't feel like doing. Doing trial streams is like doing a job. It's an incredibly easy and well-paying job, but for Nick it's still a job. It means there are audience expectations and he's obliged to do things he'd rather not. Being a part of LawTube meant Nick had social pressure to be human to other people in a society. Nick told the LawTube community that he's a solo operator who does and says whatever he wants. (The whole LegalBytes drama was what pushed Nick to completely separate from the LawTube thing.)

Nick wants total, absolute freedom from any obligations social or otherwise. (Which is why he's a lolbertarian). It's at the core of his warped personality. This is why he has no problem swinging and ditching his wife and kids for a younger woman. He doesn't even think he has to obey the law whether that means not paying speeding tickets or buying huge quantities of illegal drugs and criminally neglecting his children.

It's because he had a hat trick of really fascinating cases there. I watched Rittenhouse and Brooks, not Depp because I found TMZ: The Trial to be uninteresting. That arc spanned a confluence of events that pushed him to fame. Pandemic watching, Summer of Love, political instability. Over time it fell off because people had other things to do and there's not always an interesting case.

Normally I 'd say it's a streamer panicking and trying to reinvent, but it's Nicky, we know the deal: He'd had a hit of pure, uncut success and deep down he needed more.
He could have EASILY had his cake and eaten it too - not cover trials he wasn’t interested in and watch his wife fuck black guys - by saying “I don’t really like these trials so go watch Joe instead, when something crazy pops off I’ll get the band back together but until then I’m gonna go spend this Depp money in Jamaica” instead of “this was never a law channel, incel prude. unsubscribe and never return. your life is coming to an end”

But this would have required him to
1. Not antagonize people for no reason or personal benefit, and
2. Do his fucking job

There’s just no helping Nick. He was born to be a lolcow.

So the consensus here is that Nick hasn’t really gotten the wake up call, and is still running the qvover just minus the kids, and Aaron correct?
He's antagonistic and defiant and is framing being apologetic as just image management. He 100% has not gotten a wakeup call and with his personality and his apparent inability to understand second order consequences anymore, then he probably never will.
