The surgeon documents all the different types of surgeries on his website. It was posted up thread but google schwartz total lipedema care. We were discussing one horrific surgery in particular that he invented which involves making an incision in the patient’s leg and manually pushing out the lipedema fat like popping a pimple. This seems like it would cause a great deal of trauma to the skin, at the very least. He then arranges the fat in various patterns, like hearts and takes photos for his insta. Yes this the surgeon that is so empowering, that Anna will trust him with her life.So stupid question, but could a surgeon just cut her leg open, scoop out the fat and close her skin back together? And leave her looking like a melting ice cream cone?
I guess I'm imagining a large layer of inert fat between muscle and skin, which isn't exactly how bodies work, and I'm kind of a tard. I also imagine that if it were that easy, that's what people would do, but could someone not tarded in the subject sperg please?
And Cara had much more obvious lipedema than Anna (cuffing on legs). She states on her insta that she had 7 surgeries and now her pain is gone. She is still extremely morbidly obese. So I wonder if this lipedema will keep recurring and she will keep needing more surgeries. I’m sure removing some of this lipedema did help her pain but not addressing her obesity and all the health issues that come along with it as well makes it seem more like a bandaid solution.Cara is documenting her lipedema journey, she has had surgery, not sure if the same as Anna's, but the surgery is just the first step. Based on what Cara has shown you need to follow a daily routine, will Anna be able to do that if that means not traveling for a while? I'm not sure she's that committed, she thinks surgery will be an easy fix and she will leave the hospital looking like Eugenia Cooney.

Btw, re Anna using her super rare obesity genes as an excuse means she admits she DOES have obesity, not just lipedema. She is using double think and throwing out every excuse in the book hoping one will stick. Finding out you have obesity genes and giving up is like someone finding out they have those aggressive cancer genes and being like welp, guess I’ll die then. It’s clear she is tired of the online judgment about her weight and choices and wants to prove the haters wrong.
Also, correct me if Im wrong but on her health journey she was only counting protein? I thought she said she was counting protein for her workouts (lol) but she didn’t count calories because this wasn't about losing weight or something. Now she’s retconning being like, well I was eating healthy it must have been low calorie… because protein!
