Between the surprisingly balanced moderation and the MSM immediately jumping on Biden like sharks smelling blood in the water, I feel like this is the MSM faction of the neoliberal orthodoxy officially giving their vote of no confidence with a knife in the back.

I seriously doubt the DNC is behind this, if they wanted to replace Biden it would’ve happened months ago. This is the MSM going off the plantation because they realize the cathedral is crumbling and it’s now every rat for himself.

Biden's. it was... amazingly bad even for what I expected.

This is... an unmitigated disaster. I cannot comprehend how badly this has gone. There is nothing here. Normally a debate is chopped up after the fact so you can soundbyte the best bits. They have... nothing. Every Trump response has a zinger or something they want to memory hole. Every Biden response was at best weak and at worst utterly incoherent. There is -nothing-, no way at all to spin this or even -use- it.

One thing in the 2020 debates was Biden not falling for Trump's inherent antagonism, but I guess the Sundowning + amphetamines just made the bait too good to not bite down. Hook, line, and sinker. Joe got angry tonight, and mumbled after every five-word digression Trump included (as is his usual speech pattern anyway). I got ten bucks on the next debate not happening. I already did, but I thought Trump was gonna get sick of some kind of last-minute bullshit and leave. I'm so glad I was wrong.

So… now that I’ve… digested that a little, I’ve had a horrifying thought. While there’s every possibility that this was a sacrifice play, or Biden’s med’s just not working right… what if the reason for this freakout afterwards is because most Dems convinced themselves that Biden’s mental decline was purely disinformation from the chuds? What if this is GENUINELY a lot of people suddenly realizing what most are already well aware of, all at once?

I dunno if that’s likely, but seeing all these ‘oh shit’ responses does make me wonder…

My thoughts are one or more of the following are true.

1. They assumed Trump would make more of an ass of himself, enough to spin it about "unstable Trump". Trump was actually surprisingly measured which cut hard into that spin.
2.They gravely overestimated how lucid Biden is.
3. They assumed whatever they gave him would make him more lucid than he was.
4. The Biden people are genuinely disconnected from the wider set of schemes and did this without full approval of the DNC, leading to the Snafu we witnessed.

Which means they have to try again in the next debate, probably with even more bullshit rules designed to hobble and trip Trump up... Or try and get Biden to resign and see about the next debate being between Biden's replacement and Trump. Both of which play into Trump's hands perfectly.

The anchors reaction, especially when Biden began to outright challenge Trump, would provide credence there that at the very least the MSM anchors bought that line.

Joe Biden is rallying a crowd (like 20 people?) saying everything Trump said is a lie. Sounds WAY more coherent but still like a dementia ridden old man.

There's no chance of a second Trump Biden debate at this point, in fact, doing a debate this early may have been deliberate in hopes of making sure people forgot this happened by the time November rolls in.

Doing this in september or even October would tank the election for the dems 100%.

I'm gonna be a gay cock sucking cum slamming faggot and nearly double post to say that every (not FOX) post-debate panel is hitting every point that I heard during 2016. C-SPAN's spinroom coverage has Ds resorting to every pro-Hillary talking point about Trump from eight years ago, because their playbooks have just had a big giant monkey's paw rip pages out of it. They are fucked, it's so Joever, we've never been more built back better.
