RPGnet Forums

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I was looking at their LinkedIn which has a link to their Linktree and thus their Twitter, where I found this tweet:

Can't say that I'm surprised.

Sounds like a lot of special pleading to justify themselves. "If he were a poster he'd get redtexted but he's the owner and doesn't post so we'll let it slide." You can tell the RFK support pisses them off though.

"Don't worry xers, your dreary little hugbox is safe."

Arethusa lied as easily as they/them breathed.

Tucker Carlson interviewed Putin you know. Practically a fascist.

Not screencapped: a bunch of white liberals reeeeeing about how a white liberal voting for RFK is white privilege.

Sold to RPGPundit at a significant loss.
I'd contribute to that Kickstarter.

Reading janny trash trying to struggle session the site owner, but knowing they have no real power except to try and shame him is really funny. They got caught between a rock and a hard place with this one. They can't backpedal too much because their user base is filled with emotionally unstable nutcases who have been empowered to behave like spoiled brats. Acting out is rewarded on the site. Hell, the entire thread was started by an unstable nut going off.

If they don't handle it well, it will not be Joaquin fucking them up, but one of the users getting a ball of accusations rolling. There will probably be a moment when a lot of the site collapses on itself and the hysterical troons stampede to a new containment site. If the mods are ready (maybe even have an alt forum set up to redirect outgoing traffic), they'll be the owners as Commandante Nool said in the stream. If they screw it up, they'll not be leading the stampede, they'll be under it.

There have been a lot of predictions about RPGNet's demise, and they didn't really pan out, but this is a volatile situation that can blow up spectacularly if they don't navigate it well. Since they are retards, they are not well prepared to do so.

This person makes us feel unsafe, but we can't ban them! REEEEE!!!

These RPGNet bans are getting more and more alarming. What did this poor guy do?
I suspect that's one made up by the mods using a throwaway email to make it look like they're doing stuff in these trying times.
"Look, we're keeping you safe from dangerous people. This one was literally Hitler!"

Not doing the long con of introducing yourself as an aspiring artist from Vienna (now taking commissions!) specializing in architectural illustrations. Gradually start debating other users about the need for greater environmental regulations and stricter economic oversight.

I suspect 90% of the posters on there would not get it.

90% of the posters would agree with most of the Nazi party platform (obviously aside from the anti-immigration/blood and soil stuff) if it was presented correctly. Strong social safety net for the underclasses? Absolutely. Nationalizing major industries? Hell yes, fuck those war profiteers. Collectivizing industry profits to the workers? You had me at collectivising, comrade.

A lot of Hitler's policies were and indeed are very appealing. Almost like he wanted to get elected or something.

The true believer knows that difficult times are a test of faith. Only those who hold true to the word will be rewarded. Weak and doubting sheep will fall by the wayside but those false brethren were never truly part of us.
We're reaching levels of copium that shouldn't be possible.

I was screenshotting the same thread; good job for beating me to the punch, @Hugbox Kommissar A few more that were funny:

Too triggered to even watch the Bad Man:

Jannies! Jannniieeeeeees!!! Where is Miss Atomic Bomb when you need xir?

Surprisingly short thread. You can see it go from the initial enthusiasm to the realization that things are off, the "he can still win" dead cat bounce, then watch as the cope and despair set in. They will be allowing a new thread shortly; I suppose this is so the messaging can get updated and the marching orders issued.

I've got to hand it to Joe, the "you have the morals of an alley cat" line was genuinely funny, like your 100 years old great grandpa using a phrase they had during the Hoover administration.
