Well, also remember that I’m this thread’s resident positive Polly. I think revolution is possible but only ~15% of the US population are currently in a revolutionary spirit. That means the rest are niggercattle to one degree or another and need to wake the fuck up.

So Biden admits he wants Trump put in prison. And he is doubling down that he will stay in the race. Regardless of what Obama tells him regarding letting Gavin or someone take the helm, Biden and Jill are going to fight to their last breath. That convention is going to be insane, and I feel like I should note Gavin, almost immediately after the debate last night, turned down running for POTUS.

They're probably irritated that now everyone really really thinks the crazy man is gonna be president again. They'd much prefer Joe to the crazy man

Only in the sense that an actual popular uprising may have more chance of clearing out the rot than one guy vs. a hostile bureaucracy. But "funny" isn't the term I'd typically use for civil unrest.

Frankly, Trump better win because nobody in their right mind is going to believe the election was legitimate if he loses to Joe.

Smart for the Dems as a party and their long-term image. But not good for individuals who make their living out of peddling the influence being in power gets them. And also not good for the setback in their goal of making every judge in America a paid-up Democrat loyalist. In four years, Trump appointed a lot of judges and a number of them have had significant impact already. Having control of the judiciary has enabled the Dems to get away with a lot. Whether that's on a personal level for getting Jussie Smollet a week of stuffing envelopes at DNC headquarters as punishment for trying to kick off actual race riots, at the wider level of providing coverage for all their ANTIFA and BLM rioters or at the highest levels such as dismissing accusations of electoral fraud. They don't want to be set back another four years on that. Nor on their schedule in advancing NATO in Eastern Europe. I said to someone just before 2020 that if the Dems won there would be war in Eastern Europe soon after. I wasn't far out. Trump means it about ending the war in Ukraine.

And there are potential crimes that they might have to pay the price for. What you say makes sense - there is a right royal mess waiting for whoever is in charge over the next few years and I wouldn't want to be Trump if he wins. I've actually had similar thoughts. But they're riding the tiger - don't want to stay on, can't get off. There are factors constraining them. Not least of which is that a lot of wealthy people have paid into their coffers expecting to get something in return. Which if they're not in power, they're not going to be able to deliver on.

And here you are assuming the dems would accept a Trump win as anything other than foreign interference. This is the inflection point, nobody trusts the system and there will be fallout regardless. I’m not voting for either side I just want to watch the show.
