Sorry, this particular oldfag was one of the ones who thought GamerGate was cringe beyond all measuring and mostly ignored it. All I can tell you for sure is that everyone involved was as autistic as you can get all round.

Meowthkip was a regular poster in the Glitchedpuppet/Floraverse thread for a while. When Glitchedpuppet enlisted the help of a 14-year-old to create a discord server and lure in KF users to "remake Floraverse," Meowthkip had also joined. When Glip had eventually assumed control of the server after being let in, Glip and Meowthkip would have a brief spat before Meowthkip and many other disgruntled members would leave. This conversation is no longer available, though, as Glip and their mods were all let in, given administrative privileges, and quickly purged a lot of the server's logs and content before re-establishing it as Glip's secondary Floraverse server based on a specific fictional continent, "Eastar".

It's been years since I read the Cuteosphere/Dragondicks thread, but I remember Meowthkip was a regular in it. She probably did get into it with Dragondicks. That fat retard lived tumblr drama.

Ah, as someone that's been here for about 10 years, it sucks to see how Meowthkip turned out. She was always one of the nicer mods, and while I didn't go to the Tumblr subforum that often, I never had a bad experience with her.
As for the other mods i remember from back then, at least AnOminous hasn't changed much even though he's retired from being a mod, he still seems cool.
I also wasn't surprised about how KatsuKitty turned out, some of the stuff he would say would weird me out. All the other mods from back then just blend together for me.

Sorry for the double post, but if I remember correctly, people cared more about the lolcows no matter what side they were on of GamerGate. It wasn't really until the 2016 election that a bunch of people on the site got caught up in the Culture Wars stuff.

Even setting aside the open Kiwifarms association, many Tumblrinas are familiar with the concept of multiple usernames, secret blogs, maintaining a separate identity for your gross fetish art and fic, etc. For someone in her position to not do so is either a hugely autistic blindspot, some kind of self-sabotage she may or may not be conscious of, or, worst, some kind of deliberate humiliation thing.

No offense to the mods here in general as many of them seem cool and there are also a few 'retired staff' people who always contribute quality posts, but there really needs to be some kind of study done on why internet jannies become sexually depraved with seemingly such extreme frequency.
Reddit, 4chan, discord, even kiwifarms apparently. What is it about being a moderator that causes people to go insane? Should Null be paying for the mods here to get regular mental health checkups to make sure they are okay?
I don't have data to back to this up but it just seems like internet mods becoming perverts/trannies/etc. is extremely common it could be something like; despite making up less than 1% of posters online, jannies make up 50% of trannies online.

To be willing to moderate anything for free, you need a few screws loose to begin with. Moderators also universally have a negative connotation, so they tend to also be outcasts socially. The only people that are willing to tolerate and be friends with moderators are other moderators. I also see a trend of people being in positions of power and being sexual deviants, yes that's funny to compare a moderator with a politician or celebrity but at this point its so fucking constant it's no longer a coincidence.

As was said before in the thread, jannies are people who spend copious amount of time on the internet, have few moral inhibitions, aren't all that great IRL and are very suggestionable. Jannies can either become troons or pedos depending on the enviroment they are in, but the underlying principle is still the same

Good writer, but always big-noting her own fics, shitting on lesser known users who didn't agree with her headcanons, acting like a janny, no sign of offline life, total fandom BNF clique.
