So Ashley files a Restraining Order against Aaron, citing physical abuse against April (his 2nd wife), but doesn't cite any physical abuse against her. The woman he had 3 children with and divorced. The only reason not to cite it is if it never happened to Ashley.
It seems mighty suspicious that a man goes from zero physicals abuse with one wife, to physically abuse the 2nd. My gut says that she is making hay of a meager serving.
It is a "portable safe." In other words, a lock box. It may have a dial and be a tad bit heavier than a typical safe.
April's credit cards were found with the cocaine and the open safe.
Near as I can tell, the only plausible excuse Nick will be able to dig out of this is that "The drugs are not mine. April brought them over in her portable safe. I didn't know she brought it with her. I was not home. I was counseling her on drug abuse, trying to help her after her separation from her physically abusive husband. She was using the drugs to cope with her abuse."
Nick needs her as his plausible deniability scape goat. This is part of why he is treating her so well, making her see a future with them, separating her from other friends, and making sure the police are not holding charges over her head to coerce testimony. Nick is totally going to have to throw April under the bus. All he has to do is keep her believing until his court case is over.
