Discontinued Foods That We Miss. - A memorial for those gone too soon.

Back in the 80s, in Michigan, in almost every grocery store, in the frozen section, there were frozen pizzas that came 2 or 3 in a stack. They had a little white label, they weren't any of the major brands, they weren't even very good. Just 2 or 3 frozen pizzas on a cardboard disk, shrink wrapped. They only ever had 2 or 3 varieties... Cheese, or pepperoni (it was always the little cubed pepperoni), and I think they had a "combo" that was pepperoni sausage and green peppers. I don't know who made them. I don't think it was one company - I think there were different companies that all put out their own version, but they were all pretty much the same. Two or three medium-ish size pizzas, stacked on top of each other, on a cardboard disk.

As soon as you said little cubed pepperoni I knew exactly what you where talking about. I think it was just the IGA store brand. I remember being a little kid and never knowing how hot or how long to took them for because my mother would re-cling wrap the unused ones and that little sticker had the temp/time on it.

People are now selling the Fantales that they hoarded when Allens stopped making them last year. I think that it occurred to them that use by dates are a thing. I haven't eaten them in decades, but I'm seriously considering paying a scalper for one last taste.

That and cutting out the quantity of milk fat and just rebranding them to frozen yogurts.

Cross-posting from the Self-Sufficiency board on energy bars but Clif bars really did a number on their available flavors in recent years (likely COVID). The website admits to stuff like Coconut Chocolate Chip (my favorite flavor), Nuts & Seeds, the Sweet & Salty line, and Carrot Cake.

These were actually good. I had these as meal replacements when I was losing weight.

They aren't discontinued, they just don't seem to be placed in stores anymore. Everywhere I go, the only Arizona's they seem to carry is Fruit Punch, Green Tea, and Arnold Palmer.

For some reason they keep the best flavor as online only (and they aren't 99 cents anymore).

not really a food, but trident had cappuccino flavoured gum in the early 2000's. it sounds kind of gross but it was actually delicious if you're a coffee lover. it also did a good job curbing sweet cravings. it's been twenty years and i still think about it every so often.

Something called Fizz Wizz that I only ever saw at one candy store. There are a number of candies called that, but this one is so obscure I've never been able to find any online mention of it. It isn't the Pop Rocks ripoff or the things like (American) Smarties that fizzed. It was a packet of two very large tablet candies that fizzed slightly.
