Goodbye Volcano High - "The Future of Gaming", The Parody Game of the Beloved Snoot Game Franchise

So from what I read, Cavemanon had to let go a few people because they either plagiarized music or were overall useless, and those people complained about being treated "unfairly."

Sometimes employees are legit useless and are holding everything back, soo...
Can we talk about the fact that ko_op (and its defenders) can't meme?

Christ, once again, the left can't meme.

I recall that the capacity to laugh at yourself is a sign of good mental health. I believe one of the reasons that they can't meme is because they can't poke fun at themselves and much less others unless the mainstream says it's OK. I know that when I'm mocked, I have done something to at least give them the ammo and that the best way to make them stop is just take the L and keep quiet because eventually they will naturally move on or just play along with the mockery.

But leftists are rarely that self aware because, again, that requires a good healthy mind.
They think it makes them seem smarter to use more words, more legitimate. To a certain extent it does work since being forced to actually read what they wrote makes it almost impossible to coherently refute them since it would require a titanic effort to pick apart every line of text. At the same time simply ignoring them and then lambasting them for using too many words has proven effective.

A smart person can get the point across with less words. Besides, memes are supposed to be funny so what they are doing is the equivalent of

Cavemanon proves that you can be wholesome, inclusive, AND politically incorrect at the same time.

The best state of humanity

Kind, accepting, smart, not afraid to call you a faggot for crossing the line

I finished "Snoot Game" and got the worst ending imaginable, and for once, the ending of the game actually left me thinking about the story. I got very attached to the characters and when the story ended I felt a profound sense of emptiness and sorrow, not just for Anon, but for myself too.
Getting the worst ending means Anon has to act like a consistent douche at each and every opportunity.

Also is it possible someone can point me to a 4chan archive or part of this page where Goodbye Volcano High's Rosa was revealed to be a troon?

Well, there's another mod in the works.

I have mixed feelings though, on one hand, it was about time to finally have a proper Stella route, on the other hand, just like with Garden of Rosa, and pretty much the vast majority of mods and fics where Anon dates someone else, Fang is there just to be a third wheel, pretty much a nuisance for the new couple one way or the other, or that's feeling i get from reading a couple pages from the comic this fangame is based on.

Still, i'm willing to give it a try, i've been waiting for a mod like this since i played Snoot Game like a year ago.

I can see the mod, like the Purple Game, workin if neither Fang and Anon approached the dating path yet, thus is kinda gives an opening of him having a romantic path with Stella or Trish, while at the same time trying to help Fang to solve her issues, get her to open up more and etc. So, if done right this idea can work out well enough.

They tried to do that in Garden of Rosa, and i didn't like how it was handled at all. If i remember correctly, that mod takes place right after the conversation on the roof between Fang and Anon, right after that Anon starts dating Rosa, and the very first thing Fang does is confronting Anon by saying "You dumped me and replaced me for someone else!" seriously, fuck that, i hate love triangles.

But like you said, i hope Trust your Colors and Purple Game handle things better than Garden of Rosa did, specially Trust Your Colors since i've waiting for a Stella mod since i finished Snoot Game last year.

Go ahead, i'm probably not the only one who has noticed that pattern in most mods/fics.

From what I recall, Trust your colors starts right as Anon comes to school. So, no romantic path for him or Fang or connection between them is even established. Thus, gives the developer to do stuff between the two, for Purple Game, I believe it takes place right on the roof but Anon fucks up and doesnt manage to comfort Fang, thus he and Trish agree to help her and stop fighting each other, so kinda starting to develope a friendship with each other that might go romantic.

Exit 665 was known for a while, they were actually working on it and Wani at the same time.

Wonder what it would be about, although Judging by the title, if I may guess it'll probably be something that is much more serious than snoot game or gator.

I expect a sob story that would made me sob instead of rolling my eyes tbh.
It's gonna be an RPG, here's the old site so you can all see the characters, story and animations.

Is anyone else not satisfied that the turning point of ending 1 is a snapped guitar string? The disastrous performance at the prom must have been the result of their arrogance.

I always thought it was implied that Trish sabatoged the guitar string to force Fang back on bass because Anon is the reason she was on guitar in the first place.

Is there any solid implications? It looked that Trish acted genuinely upset when string snapped. Plus, when they entered the stage it was described how they all knew it will be a shitshow.

I read the article briefly and it's basic but really good advice for creatives in general. There's actually a part where they call out GVH for Naomi creeping on Fang and little coming out of it.

What really caught my attention is "the 'why' question" (i.e. why characters fall in love with each other, but really why anything happens in a story at all).

In Snoot Game, several important points were made. In a society infected with rot that deconstructs everything someone needs to properly develop – including family values, friendship values, heritage, religion, and even the concept of love itself, it offers the youth very few options while pretending the world is theirs. It’s a horrible situation where now the rot of modern living has infected every aspect of identity, and developmental phases teenagers go through are categorized by and associated with political movements. Specifically, in Snoot Game it’s discussed how even the mere act of changing your mind once you’ve started identifying with these movements is tantamount to betrayal, and you will be treated like garbage and swept under the rug for daring to go against the grain. In real life, the tragedies go further between massive grooming operations, stalking, and the like.

...

At the risk of beating a dead horse, the best example available is from the game that Snoot Game is a parody of, Goodbye Volcano High, since we can draw direct comparison to the previous example of Anon and Fang’s romance. In GVH, the protagonist Fang begins to receive anonymous text messages from a ‘secret admirer’ (who we later learn is Naomi) who pesters her on several occasions despite the former’s apprehension and discomfort with the latter’s refusal to reveal her identity. Many players report this introduction to the romance as creepy and stalkerish, especially when the writing has it so that Fang ends up falling in love with this stranger that is seemingly aware of her every move. Eventually Naomi reveals herself, and chooses to do so by a dumpster in a dark alleyway. Fang rightfully declines her advances, but the writing has her eventually come around to it. Now we get to witness all of Fang and Naomi’s relationship in it’s fullest:

Essentially nothing. There are very few scenes which even reference that this major plotline exists in this game where the romance was once a major part of its’ advertising. The two go on a few dates, and Naomi can end up making a dress for Fang for her concert on the last day of their lives. There’s no ‘why’ given, the relationship may as well have been with any other character or even a completely new one, and as a result the relationship comes off as creepy, ill-thought out, unsubstantive, and ultimately superfluous. The argument could even be made that the two only start dating due to the pressure of their impending doom, and while the suspension bridge effect can be used effectively to kickstart a relationship, with no followup it remains hollow.

When I played Snoot Game upon release, the identity ideas were apparent to me, but not the rot ones. Thinking back on it, they actually make a lot of sense, especially the part where Fang breaks down on the rooftop. This isn't a bad thing, it's actually good to be subtle like that. It just shows a kind of care and consideration that I don't see in most places anymore. Less an example of "show don't tell" and more specifically "let your ideas inform your work and show through it, just explain what you need to explain."

The impression that I get from Snoot Game Trish is not that she's malicious, especially not towards Fang, but that she's just a really, really stupid teenager.

SG Trish is one of those people that are really territorial and think they're right about everything, even when they're not.

You know actually I did misremember. That being said I think you are putting too much weight on the failed concert being a 'turning point' though, the whole sequence of events prior to the prom is a downward spiral.
Edit: Lmao the guy under me is correct actually I was only paying attention to Trish's sprite, which does not change. "Reed is silent and I catch a glimpse of a smirking speciesist triceratops." If she didn't sabotage the guitar directly she is certainly going to capitalize on it to show how right she is about the bass thing. Both are in character for her, given how much she hates Anon.
