No one said CP should be legal you fucking idiot. If you can't understand the way laws impact things you shouldn't be posting about them. CP is illegal, one of the most illegal things on the planet and it doesn't stop it's production or sale. There is no way to control CP to a degree where it doesn't exist any more. There are already too many archives of it (which the websites do scan for) and too much being made. It doesn't matter how illegal it is when a sicko on discord decides to convince a teenager to show her tits and put a sharpie up her asshole. You can't stop Bittorrent and you can't stop Tor and do you know how we know this? Because the music and film industry have spent billions of dollars trying to stop it and it has had zero impact. No amount of money or law enforcement can stop internet protocols and nerds wanting to have control of their own servers. Look at what happened with Silk Road and how much effort it took to take that website down, and 3 more popped up within a week. It's just not possible to stop people doing fucked up things and you can't punish them pre-emptively to stop it happening because you don't know who these people are until they're caught doing it.

If i look up "child sucking cock" on twitter or facebook or google would i get any results? Would i see child porn when casually browsing news on twitter? Probably not because like you said its already banned but you are arguing and if it should show up and it would all be the same if it was easy and consequence free to access it casually just because it exists on some illegal site somewhere. I always have to think about one of those „interview with a drug kingpin“ style documentations I once watched. Some kind of guy who did 20 years for international drug trade talked shop, and he brought all the same arguments that are made here, you can never outlaw something totally, there will always be gaps in the system, prohibition is actually good for criminals, all that shit.
Half an hour down the line, he casually made a remark along the lines of „yeah so we basically smuggled into every country except Indonesia and such because there’s the death penalty on drugs“.
We’re already hanging on by a thread, and that is the grace and dedication of one single autistic spiteful feeding fetishist.
It did not need a single law for that, Kiwifarms didn’t break any.
Why do they still let Pornhub operate after these countless human trafficking and child porn scandals?

Why do I have to give up all of my privacy to get a fucking gmail account, but to enter Pornhub all you have to do is click a button?
Why does putting „bestiality porn“ into google yield a page full of stuff that is illegal in most of the civilised world, but Kiwifarms is shadowbanned for most search terms (unless you explicitly add „kiwifarms“) and stuff like The Daily Stormer is completely unfindable?

Drachenlord brought up CP and it's a fine example of how something can be very illegal and still be all over the internet. Your laws to ban porn would be as effective as laws to ban CP, which as covered is highly ineffective. And that's with a topic most people find disgusting.
