General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Currently going though Kirsche's stream to try and find the Offkai comment, will update this post when/if I find it, though I might not be able to provide a timestamp until the stream is finished. EDIT: Can't find it for the life of me, will check the Vod when stream finally finishes, I have a very small window in the stream to check, less than a hour infact, so I'll find it if its there.

How did the botting reputation come about for VSPO?
It didn't, VSPO doesn't have a reputation for botting. That being said:
Anon has posted viewer graphs before and I don't feel the need to "yeah umm I'm gonna need a SAUCE" him.
If it's as shown then it was definitely being botted. Our opinions differ on who was doing the botting though.

Between average human beings and a large corporation, one would normally bet on the culprit being the large corporation trying to artificially inflate the popularity of its new livers in order to make more money. But we're not dealing with average people, we're dealing with exceptional Vtuber fans. I'm putting my money on autism over corporate greed.
Botted or not, they are in a better state than what njsj en is showing with denauth livers who debuted almost two months ago.
Denauth is such a stupid name lmao

Unless DumDum can provide the clip or direct timestamp himself, I'm calling fake and gay on this.
DumDum's post was made at 3:37pm*, in the vod Kirsche posts a tweet at 4:05pm, using this we can do a little math (or use a online calculator) and find out that he posted 28 minutes prior to the tweet being post, this means the statement has to be sometime before 00:35:23, removing the intro of the stream that gives us a window of 27 minutes and 45 seconds for the comment to have been made. I've checked this timespan pretty thoroughly and couldn't find anything, lots of Donation reading, not a single mention of Offkai, and I was checking it while the stream was live too, so It isn't like if could have been edited out.
*These are the times in my timezone, this will of course change depending on where you are in the world, but the math will check out no matter what. And in the off chance I got the math wrong and the comment could have been after 35 minutes, I also checked pretty thoroughly there too.

If DumDum does provide a clip or timestamp, I will formally apologize for calling him a False Flagging Faggot.

to add on to this I think something folks should consider about "is this vspo botting or is it some autist doing it"
Just look at the fact that botting has been going on with various corpo vtubers for months (nearly a year even) because of the numbermonkeys on /vt/ and their silly daily slapfight.

Armis was all botted on their debuts. Fuwamoco and other EN's randomly get botted if the "wrong person" is about to "win" their daily tally. It's been a longstanding thing for months that we've seen random botting like this coming from individuals. And if somehow people suspected holo themselves of doing it you wouldn't have their own talents like Kiara and Calli calling out the behavior during their streams and mocking the person doing it.

If you want to see corpo manipulation we have a good example of that, GX Aura, the vtuber connected to the Opera browser had her twitch debut numbers pumped by the fact that on the day of, her debut was embedded on the browser's homepage meaning anyone popping open their browser that had their twitch account logged in counted as a viewer for the stream.

APOLOGIZE jk

Timestamp is 32:29 when she gets asked by a viewer about the OffKai receipts. Apparently though she did admit it was a nothing burger and even I missed it when it was apparently talked about here. But if she did address it as a nothing burger then kudos for being honest about it.

Most in this thread probably don't care about Niji at this point, which is completely understandable, but they did hold a GTA5 server event recently. It wasn't nearly as good as the VCR GTA servers, but there were two stand-out stories.

The first was the rise of the drug cartel Enigma (Kuzuha, Furen, Leos, and Meloco). A dedicated Furen clipper is translating things from her perspective if Furen or long clips interest you.

The second was the mysterious Purple Man. He was very popular in Japan and trended nationwide on X. He terrorized the police, fought on both the gang and police sides of multiple heists, won the arena boxing tournament, won the brawl at the mixer, got framed and kicked out of the police, almost won in hide and seek, as well as many other adventures. EN clips are hard to find but this one shows Purple Man's origins.
