One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

Notice those people never once talked about her being masculine outside of her being half-oni.
If they did not notice that there is nothing masculine about her, they must have been insane. Which they are.

And we’re supposed to find this endearing. Maybe it’s a Japanese cultural thing lost on us Western Internet users.
I presume Oda made the character without taking into account the western gender specials.

I would say we are supposed to find Kaido's Treatment of Yamato sympathetic..but the Oden thing is supposed to sell on us that Oden is so Larger than life that inspired a child who saw him die.

Took a peek at the latest episode to see where they're currently at, and I'm honestly a little shocked they kept in Shaka's bloody headshot. Usually they censor that kind of brutality or cut away from it and not linger on the blood splatters and how it pools under the body.

(Also seven more episodes until Imu's first spoken word. And five more episodes before Sabo gets his new VA since Furuya has stepped down over his controversy.)

Given her late introduction to the arc, maybe? I figured if she joined the crew at the end of Wano, we'd see more sides of her.
Like more of her lil' quirk of being the one girl Strawhat that is into all the awesome shit the guys like or being locked up her whole life makes her a bit of a naive twit, or whatever. but that's neither here nor there till she pops up again.

Yamato is supposed to be a super fangirl wanting to skinwalk as her hero. She's less fucked up than a pooner, and her dad's Kaido.
And Kaido likely wanted her to rule Wano because that’s what Oden should have done.

Kaido still the best dad in One Piece, other than Kuma.

I mean, she's been in the cover story for the last month. Not sure if that counts.

I'm team Straw Hat Yamato, but is anyone considering the fact that the Straw Hat's are currently babysitting an unaccompanied parent-less/guardian-less minor that believes in and copies in Nika and is also a nuisance to the WG;

Bonney for the last crew member!!

Doesn’t Bonney have her own crew, along with a ship?

I think that’s still doing stuff Oden did.

No, that's just standard Bokukko shit.

I learned something today. Thanks!

IIRC she has been solo-dolo ever since her run in with Black Beard and escape from the marines. She's been getting around via plot travel and now Luffy is treating her like one of the team. It's a stretch, but the Straw Hats are warming up to her and Sanji saying "Captain's Orders" (in the Viz translation at least) is tipping the scale in her favor imo. lol

Unless she settles with the giants/Vegapunk, the SH are currently her only real means of protection and "crewmates" for now.

I could see Bonney rebuilding her crew with Kuma, the surviving Punks, and whatever survivors of her and Kuma's crew show up. Knowing Shanks, he probably found them and wrangled them into the Red Hair Grand Fleet, though who knows if they'll rejoin Bonney voluntarily.
