Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I will seriously be impressed if Wikipedia deprecates the $PLC.

Wow, it's a real article:

If you've never seen an article-length word salad, check it out:
Black capitalism is a concept that emerged some decades after WW2 and took on popular traction sometime around the time Richard Nixon was elected president of the United States.
The utter lack of specificity in the very first sentence should ring alarm bells about how this article is total sophist dogshit before you even read any more.

"Black capitalism is the name given to the phenomenon in the United States of America of a parallel economy focused on African-American interests as opposed to those of the traditional white majority. Practices of this economy and studies of it crystalized in the years after the Second World War and came to popular prominence in the early 1970s during the Nixon Administration."
There I fixed it, now it reads far better, more informative and more objective.

Although it would be much easier to just delete the entire article and replace it with this:
nigger economics.gif

Checked the wikipedia main page, was surprised to see Etika featured.

He has a thread here, it's not open for replies, though. This was one of those cases where kiwifarms was late to the party, he was well into his mental decay when the thread was created.
Don't let Molly White hear about the KF thread, we might get another one added to our alleged kill count.

...Why are they trying to whitewash Conrad Murray?
It's like saying "John Lennon died in his residence as a result of a fatal gunshot wound ," and leaving out the part that... you know. He was fucking murdered?
It's a CYA protocol. The fact that MJ died due to Murray's atrocious drug regimen is true, but the courts could only charge him with involuntary manslaughter rather than claiming that he had deliberately given MJ a fatal dosage of drugs in the name of killing the King of Pop, so Wikipedo cannot allude to the death as being murder. This is almost always how it goes, and you can tell they really like clinging to judgements when it benefits them, such as Fenty Floyd being “murdered” and Trump's status as a “convicted felon.”

He kept giving Jackson anesthetics and benzos to help him sleep, which is a absurdly insane thing to do as anesthetics are NOT meant to be used that way. It was at the very least involuntary manslaughter.
That's what he was convicted of. I think he was more of an unprincipled quack just giving Jackson whatever he wanted, but he did personally administer the lethal overdose that killed Jackson. He really should have done more than two years.

This article is bad and should feel bad
1) Romans didnt use salt as a currency the salt salary conection is a big fat we dont know probably metaphorical.
2) The chinese tax thing diffusing throughout the ancient world is doubtful because we know the romans instituted a salt tax in 204 BC less than a hundred years, compared to say gunpowder which takes roughly 300-ish years to diffuse through Eurasia.
3) The contention that salt taxes increased living standards is bizarre when there are actual revolts that happened partly due to the salt tax.
4) this article is bad and should feel bad.
So because when I wrote this post I didn't have easy internet accessible articles on the subject it was based on lmao trust me dude, but thats changed now with Anton Howes, British historian of technology and the Industrial Revolution, doing a very nice series on the importance of salt:

The bottom one is a common scheme used by JarlaxleArtemis, who was banned from Wikipedia back in 2005 and would on and off vandalize the site for well over a decade. That's his second identity "Grawp" who was so prolific that pretty much all of Wikipedia's automated anti-vandalism filters and bots are built around him. Apparently Wikipedia tried to get him booted from his ISP.
