What’s the word or pathology for when you’re so deep into an ideology that you become delusional and dismiss objective reality at face value? Brainwashed and cultish don’t seem enough. Something about this way of approaching life makes me MATI. I value the truth and you can only get there by considering all options, he gets his pre-approved facts spoon fed to him and regurgitates them with such belief that’s it’s honestly astonishing. I really don’t have an opinion on many things because 1. I don’t care and 2. I’m usually uninformed. He doesn’t think about things or consider both sides, to him considering other opinions is heretical and probably Nazism. Is this just Internet tribalism in its final form? It’s so fascinating, like going to the zoo as a kid.
Fats is like a flat earther as both are ignorant and stuck to their delusion. They also think anyone who disagrees with them is stupid and delusional.

That's the thing with Patrick: he is a pathological liar, so it's really not clear if he even believes any of the blatantly incorrect things he spouts, or if they're just his usual obfuscation of clearly observable reality.
Remember that this is a guy who can be presented with his mugshot, the police report from his arrest when they took that mugshot, with a comment that can pull a direct quote from that police report about how he threatened to murder his ex wife and unborn daughter, and how does Patrick respond? "Incorrect, as the police report you continue to lie about clearly states. Enjoy prison." Despite it being right there, right in front of him.
The one thing I don't think we'll ever know is if he knows he's lying, or if he's managed to convince himself that all of this shit he spews is true. I think it's probably a little of both, but who can say for sure? Certainly not Patrick, since that would be letting the idiots win.

I take back what I said about Pat not being psychotic after being curious about his bizarre psychology, and being a candidate for delusional disorder seems apt as he meets a lot of the criteria for the persecutory/grandiose aspect of it. His comorbidities further compound his behaviour, such as narcissistic personality disorder, alcoholism, and obesity. This cunt is a fucking mess, and a lonely one at that. He's probably alienated every person in his life, with Niki probably staying with her parents for the weekend every now and then, but she's on a similar level of fucked up. Truly, they're a perfect match.

I just discovered this Russian term for people living in fantasy realities in their own head, seems to nail our friend here pretty well.
Manyaworld: a state of mind in which a person creates a certain artificial world in his imagination. It is a kind of comfort zone, from which it is almost impossible to get out. Human mental anabiosis. He who has created his manyaworld gradually pupates and loses touch with reality. Due to various reasons, at some point the happy inhabitant of a manyaworld finds himself in reality and is forced to drop the so-called "rose tinted glasses" - as a result of which depression and other related diseases may develop.
An individual caught in some difficult circumstances realizes that his psyche is not ironclad and it is simply not capable of adequately coping with the challenges posed by the world around him. There is a creation of false images, self-enclosure, a special "world" is formed - and all in order to form a stable comfort zone in the consciousness of the same individual, which will allow to live quietly further, but not paying much attention to the surrounding problems. A person plunges into the abyss of his invented manyaworld, after which it becomes virtually unreal to pull him out of it.
The manifestations of manyaworld in a person can be different - he can do only what he likes, and forget about unpleasant things (for example, not clean the house, not cook, not go to the store, etc.), he can not work at a job that does not match his new internal attitudes, he can begin to ignore his acquaintances, friends and relatives - those of them who cause him trouble and try to drag him into the problems of reality. The creation of manyaworld can also take place in the Internet sphere. A person will bury himself in his favorite sites and will sit on them for days on end, completely ignoring any other work. As a result, sociophobia is formed, the personality degenerates and can be lost to society for a long time.
At some point in time there is a rapid deflation of the bubble that the person has grown inside his head. The manyaworld cracks - and the individual returns to the real world with quick decisive steps. Such a quick return can be accompanied by mental deviations, hysterics, depression, etc.

Since I first started keeping an eye on this thread there is one thing that stood out to me. There is a huge disparity in the way that the pig presents himself online and the way he actually is day to day. If he was this belligerent and retarded in meatspace all the time he would not have gotten married twice, would not have gotten the opportunities he has, and would have been curb stomped for mouthing off the way he does.
There is something going on there that I can't quite put a finger on. I feel like it would be easy to blame mental illness or personality disorders, but nothing has really ever tied it all together for me.
My going theory is pat has some compartmentalized personalities that he brings out when needed. On the internet he is the tough no nonsense political firebrand among the other things he claims to be. In public he is a reasonable if not effete person being unfairly persecuted and maligned. In private he is a closeted homosexual who will gladly rim, blow, and otherwise take a cock up the ass metaphorically or otherwise to advance the shallow pit he calls a career. (I have come to believe that pat is legitimately gay, and I'm working on my own schizo unified fat faggot theory to prove it.)
We see the cracks shine through, but he has constructed an elaborate world where a he can just hold whatever makes him be the hero correct. It really doesn't matter to him if it is true or not. He does not have principles or convictions or anything tied to objective reality he has a long list of enemies and a few people he sucks up to.

I respect your opinion.
There is a lot of contradictory evidence however on him being a different person on the internet than in public.
Including, but not limited to the Josiah tapes, the video of him childing and confronting someone he deemed a Nazi at a protest, the recorded times he was in court and only barely stopping himself from childing the judge, the encounter at a writers dinner which he was described as being drunk and confrontational.
There are also things I deem circumstantial evidence, such as the suspected banning from hooligans and his own bizarre accounts of being a tough guy.
From personal observations of regular pub attendees and later recollections of certain events, fellows such as him typically mentally edit these events to give themselves a better light.
Perhaps Fatrick is describing things that happened but with his spin on them?
E.g. the gym story about a gym bro laughing at a fat woman on a stairwalk.
Maybe Fatrick was actually the one laughing at the fat woman and the gym bro told him to shut the fuck up?
Fatrick’s ego won’t take this, so his account flips it to make him the hero and clever and very much the male in control of the situation.
Pure guesswork on my part of course, but I figure these Fatrick tales are heavily edited accounts.
His belligerence may have increased after he was married the first time.
He was obviously a lot younger then, so probably didn’t have his misplaced confidence and self assurance in that way at that time.
So maybe he wasn’t as obnoxious to be around and perhaps he had some youthful qualities we no longer see.

Niki comes across as a sidekick mostly, with occasional tickles of rebellion.
Chances are she is really similar to him in ways we don’t see because she isn’t terminally online in the same manner.
Possibly he found someone he can control in her.
You don’t need to be a good person to get married, if you can find someone who you can effortlessly manipulate.
