Ever since i came out a few month ago my mother in law has been making puke faces behind my back (like a 8 year old I know) and been talking shit about me to my wife's family. I'm amab and not that visually "not cis" I just got nice nails done, nice shaved legs some jewelry. I have a few maneurism as well but overall nothing too extravagant. At least not around her.

Today my son wants his grandma to be here for his birthday dinner, fair enough. But for most of it I just felt like crap. I usually don't care what other people think but it's just hard feeling to shake off as it's not a single event but rather the cumulation from a few.

My wife is supportive in the sense that she does not engage with her mom much anymore and is pretty distant when they used to be close. It's probably due to the fact that she also told her she was bisexual. I am not sure.

Anyway my mother in law will be part of our life I can't deny that. My kids love her and she is after all my wife's mom as well so I have to figure out how to like not feel like crap around her.

I did remark at the beginning of the month that it was starting off a little more subdued than last year (my local Target being the barometer for such things). I think companies are still reeling from the humongous backlash (i.e., drops in stock), and the community overall is figuring out how to reckon the way forward with the problematic T (as they are like the Tony Blundetto of the family). Plus, more normies are getting the ick with reports of degenerate things going on at Pride.

I have the same issue with "ACAB," which my brain wants to interpret as "assigned cat at birth," not "all cops are bastards."

I did come across a troon bus driver on Twitter once, TheLetterbomber. It seems he hated the irregular hours and quit within a year.

Thank god. He gave vibes he was going to drive the bus into something disasterous if a bad day happens.

Also lmao: creepy men hit on him because most people are respectful enough to not make it awkward when they ride the bus and get rejected (unlike creeps), and like attracts like. :story:

I genuinely have never heard of or seen a bus driver get hit on.

It’s not like being a shop girl in a men’s clothing store or a bartender.

Mostly bus drivers are stereotyped as miserable bored fuckers.
