Depending on how you can get it done, you can also go for the simplest - Zyklon flamethrower. It's a flamethrower - but it uses Zyklon A as a fuel. This is for when you need to really extend your home defence to include eliminating the source of the threat.

On the topic of signs, I wouldn't recommend the "trespassers will be shot" signs. Very bad idea legally speaking, as prosecutors can use it in court as evidence that any killings that occur on your property were premediated, and a very bad idea home defense-wise because it warns the intruder that you're armed, which is only a deterrent for burglars, not feds.

If shame isn't an issue for you, I'd recommend a few of these, some queer POC lawn gnomes, and a progress pride flag for camouflage. Best case scenario, the ATF takes one look, thinks "shit, do we have the wrong address?", and raids your neighbor instead.

So, air is a mixture of N2 and O2. 28 and 32, average of like, 29 - as a rough guess, you can figure that it will sink or float based on that. Methane and Ammonia, CH4 and NH3, both float while CO2 sinks. Hydrogen is 2, which is why is was used to make blimps.

To be fair, both Phosgene and HCN/Zyklon A were used, historically, because of how safe and easy they were to make and transport. Zyklon A is the quick killer, but it's the same density as air - but I suppose it could be added to some kind of powder, like Zyklon B, and then used like pocket sand.

Yes, you're right - colder gas would sink too, and it wouldn't have no effect - but it's just not as practical as using aerosolised LSD.
