I think the premise of Earth being attacked by giant wasps and there being two amphibian heroes, tasked with saving it, is pretty alright (especially if it was elaborated upon a bit more). Sadly it gets a lot more bland, after the first chapter.

From a writer and a publisher perspective, reviews only serve them two purposes: pre-release publicity and gaming Amazon's algorithm by increasing the number of reviews on a product page. This is why there are services like Netgalley, which are thinly disguised fronts for "get a digital book and give us a glowing review" tit for tat exchanges.

None of which applies to comics which, as has been said, is too small a niche to garner normie attention anyway. In this context, most review videos in the CG-sphere can be viewed as either friends jerking off one another about how awesome they all are, or reviews made in bad faith to spite the "enemy".

It would have made more sense just to reboot the character completely instead of insisting everyone get familiar with a comic series nobody knew or cared about except for a brief note in Evis' bio. As a result, we have characters that aren't written well enough to catch up with what the lengthy exposition tries to establish. The huge space wasp sky beam is actually cooler to see in action than anything on the hero side, as it just happens with enough detail that we don't need to read narration bubbles.

There is nothing the humans have that their enemies haven't already allowed them to have. When you set up such a massive brick wall, anything less than an epic saga building up to a resolution wouldn't make it worthwhile to read (unless you go the parody route). The main character ideally should utilize each episode exploring his enemies' weaknesses along with his own and learning to overcome both. Along the way he can take those lessons learned so that by the end, they all contribute to the defeat of the big bad.

Hive enemies have a queen to take out before the whole thing collapses. How would this be a challenge for a cyborg frog that can shoot bullets out of his cloaca at no logistical cost to his person? He's naturally immune to the wasp stings (just like real life thin-skinned frogs!), and KYjell takes care of everything else. Nothing is earned or unlockable. Either there is no challenge at all or you flop the character around like a wet metallic noodle and pretend he can't access his alien AI mommy (Windows OS probably) and/or can't use those metal limbs of his to crush the wings/limbs of each and every hornet he encounters. What we know or can see about the character doesn't match well with how he actually performs in a fight. He seems super agile and durable, but he can't easily mow down some mutant wasps? He can't block their attacks with his metal limbs and giant dumbbell feet? With an actual writer you might be able to anticipate a number of these basic conclusions and address them through an actual story.

Combine the lack of continuity with the total lack of personality of Cyberlog, and who cares? The only way anyone would is if they too were a species-cucked momma's boy deep inside... or a grifter looking for a seat at the All-You-Can-Shill buffet. Otherwise, the wasps are the real heroes.

Comicsgate streams have been unwatchable to me for a while now. However, at the start of the CG Eric hate, the new purpose seemed to be 'destroy Eric's business above all else.'

I recently came across this post https://x.com/studentofgodd/status/1806362436808700261 where someone mentioned that Ethan went on Frog Tony's channel, asking for the creation of a meme where a robot is pissing on Eric's ancestors grave.

When I went to go look at the stream for context - Eric July Prepares The Rippaverse Simps For WAR! - the appearance from Skiver was him pretending to be about to stop doing his show 'Trashcast' because Goodyng had only raised 170k, and according to him, that showed that his "actions" have "literally annihilated the Rippaverse." He is barely able to contain his elation at the thought, while sarcastically being aghast to the idea.

While this belief is delusional imo, I have heard him say in the past that 'destroying someone takes talent' as though it is something to be proud of if you can manage to accomplish it. That is the reason for his efforts, destroying Eric's business (or "slow the paypig legionaries in their march to the swine-dark sea" as you put it) while making money from Rippaverse haters.

I think Skiver is too stupid to realise that he is just destroying himself though.

Dax said the same thing when Eric’s 2nd million dollar comic didn’t make quite as much as his first million dollar comic. They will use whatever small thing they can, call it a “win”, and act like they actually accomplished something.
