I'm calling it right now: 11/9 was the day Social Justice began to die.

It's not going down quietly, but between circular firing squads and them doubling down blaming everyone but themselves for the loss, the cracks in the movement are starting to form. Soon they'll be eating one another and within a year the bulk of them will have torn themselves to shreds, remembered with the same reverence as previous groups of moral busybodies.

There is going to be tons of salt to harvest and a lot of chimp-outs, people, so be ready for the long haul.

Perhaps. But then again, it might not be so. It could just be the beginning of another age for social justice - an even more annoying age, now that they have a clear enemy in the White House.

It could just turn into an age at ranting about the Don, and eventually they'll leave normal folks alone, but that's wishful thinking...

It makes sense. Social Justice Warriors began to emerge from the muck when Obama came into office, alongside the rise of Twitter and Tumblr. Now that Obama is leaving, and both social media outlets are circling the drain, the Age of Autism is ending and the Age of Shitlords shall begin.

Thing is, people have long memories, and we've seen both sides of the moral busybody brigade now: Left and right.

The next time it shows up (and it will), we'll be ready. We already know how they work, and more importantly, how to break them.

Like Jefferson said, price of freedom's the foreknowledge that people will be actively trying to take that shit from you.

Most young people are SJWs or extremely vulnerable to being manipulated by SJWs though.

Yeah, but that's likely to flag as the movement becomes as popular as the moral authority groups before it. When the groups turn on one another, the true nature of them all will be laid bare, and as things continue to fracture, these groups, not known for stability or grace, will do their usual tactic of driving away everyone who doesn't think as they do. When the world doesn't end, when LGBT people aren't in death camps, they'll start wondering why that is.

It's already begun.

It'll probably take as long as the Tea Party did to fracture out - it was a couple years before people figured out there was no Sharia law or seizure of guns going to happen under Obama. It'll be the same here.

Yeah, I'm concerned they'll be powered by Trump in a way. When he inevitably does some fucked up shit, they'll rail against it, and the moderates that rightfully are calling out Trump will be there on their "side," "backing them up," even if not with the same hyperbolic furvor.
