For local government, you can check their Facebook pages/websites. Be warned though that a lot of candidates run extremely generic campaigns where they don’t take stances on anything. You kinda have to be involved in your community to find out who’s good and who’s not.
If all else fails One strategy I've noticed is seeing who supports the candidates on twitter and inferring things from that.

nobody hates illegal hispanics like legal hispanics
In my experience, the moment the know that someone is here without the proper documentation they call immigration and then crack open a beer to watch the shitshow unfold.
What the hell is even Projrct 2025?
Some kind of wishlist/psyop that is supposedly what Trump is going to do if he gets into office.

It's basically a policy plan made by a right-wing think tank that is intended to be used should Trump win the election.

Non-elected bureaucrats in the federal government are concerned about it because its quite ambitious and wants to try to deconstruct what is called the "Administrative State."

are there any concrete links between Trump and Project 2025? every single thing i've seen just defines P2025 as a think tank that has things they want to do and it doesn't seem like it has much to do with Trump at all, other than populist ideals

P2025 is friends with Bannon, who used to be in the Trump admin
afaik thats the only link, they do shill for Trump though

yeah pretty sure there's no direct connections, iirc it's more one of the seven thousandth attempt at The New Contract With America that conservative think tanks throw out every now and then

There are none, and Trump has come against things that Project 2025 supports, like banning the abortion pill.

heard on talk radio
"with Biden they've really blown it! and if you've already blown it, it makes sense to go with Kamala Harris"
I think the Democrats are suffering from the activists and media being in such control of their party. Whatever you think, a majority of Democrats voted for Biden-Harris in the primaries (rigged though they were) and still want that ticket. But the elites that control the DNC do not care what normies on the ground think. I watched a compilation of CNN/MSNBC reactions to last week's debate and every time the pundits brought up reactions on the ground, they only cared about what other elites and donors were saying. They were totally dismissive of what normal people thought or reacted, only caring what their fellow travelers in NYC/LA/DC were saying.

It was honestly disgusting to watch someone like Joy Reid just brush off what a normal dem voters might think, making jokes to Rachel Maddow that they all only cared what their bugmen comrades thought. No, those lesser people's reactions weren't worthy to be reflected on their tv programs.

Imagine if the RNC kicked out Trump after the Access Hollywood tapes came out in 2016. Every Republican elite, donor, and media pundit was screaming that Trump was done and had to leave. Polling was down for the next week. Even if Trump ended up saying "I have to bow out, but if you vote for Pence then you're voting for me," would that have worked out for the RNC? Or would a majority of Republican primary voters feel that the party dismissed their will, even though the candidate was in a tough situation?

Replacing Biden with anyone is absolutely the will of the elites in the DNC, media, and academia. But I doubt it will be an inspiring choice for the regular dem voters who pulled the lever for Biden in the primaries. It's pure hubris and neuroticism of them to think otherwise.

Project 2025 is a plan to reshape the U.S. federal government, spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. The plan is a collection of policy transition proposals that outline how, should Trump win the November election, he can remake the federal government to carry out a hard-right agenda.

A big part of the Project 2025 thing is identifying the bureaucrats who undermined Trump's first term, naming them publicly and having them re-assigned or removed from federal government. This has them petrified.
yeah I haven't really dug into it but I haven't heard much negative about it, compared to like, The Lincoln Project or something
