Nick has a bad habit of equivocating badly and bringing up shit no one accused him of, but later proves to be true. During the Potentially Criminal/ Sean freak out, the thread was calling Nick neglectful and endangering his children by getting drunk off his ass and driving them 4 hours later. Nick brought up beating his kids for no reason. The entire thing seems more suspect now. A few of us (@Captain Manning) pointed out how controlling Nick is with basically strangers and how bad he must be with people irl. Nick has to get the last word and he has a compulsion to correct the record despite crying how he doesn’t care about his public image.

I could believe that Nick is physically abusive to anyone he could physically dominate. Him going frothing at Sean makes me think it’s believable. He gleefully admitted trying to embarrass his oldest, he tried to spin it as wholesome, but at this point I think Nick is just playing mind games with the kids who realized their dad isn’t worth admiring.

How much did he pay for the Mustang? Was it 70K or 90K? A guy I know is actually into cars and is trying to do a summer trip to buy some cars from some old guys in MN and WI. It would have been at least 90k IMO. Nick has no taste in anything and has no hobbies. He didn't want a good car. I doubt he likes driving. He just wanted to spend alot of money but not too much money. He also lacks impulse control and didn't want to wait which is why he bought it in the middle of winter (which was also insane).

Nick has the mentality of the worst "rich kid" in High School but he is in his 40s.

Something came to mind when reading Anon Leaker's latest pages, the child that asked to change clothes said she had only worn the same clothes for one day. We know Nick and Kayla and April were drugged and sleeping, and moving in a polysubstance daze while outside, and the house was cluttered with clothes, and the only thing Imholte did was give them snacks sometimes, so the adults clearly weren't doing anything for months at least. But someone had been keeping some clothes washed. This may be too much of a stretch, but it could be that the older kids really were doing their best for the others, at least keeping some clothes clean, but doing all the chores in a big house for 5 children while keeping all their other responsibilities was basically impossible.

I believe the laundry was located close to or in the drug den room. So their target of opportunity to do laundry was most likely limited. And I assume 5 kids would generate a fuckload of laundry.
