2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

jewish presence in the area goes back to pre roman times, their rule ended with hadrians expulsion of the jews after a failed jewish revolt against rome.
many hundred years later, the islamic armies from the south-east conquered the region and replaced roman christians with arab muslims.

any "but we were here first" argument in this conflict ends up in favor of the jews, who actually were there first.
he said arabs not muslims, the canaanites were in the promiseland before moses stepped foot out of egypt.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought going to war to protect Israel is a commandment according to Jewish law.
Yes, they just ignore that.

Fighting in Shejaya:

Big wave of Hezbollah drones/missiles this morning. AJ quotes a Hezbollah source claiming 200 rockets and 20 drones.

Singapore (a nation with close cooperation with Israel) are prepared to regonize a Palestinan state. With one condtion:
snippet:

SINGAPORE: Singapore is "prepared in principle" to recognise Palestine as a sovereign state if it has an effective government that renounces terrorism and accepts Israel's right to exist, Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan said in parliament on Tuesday (Jul 2).

He was addressing five questions raised by Members of Parliament about Palestine and Singapore's aid in reconstruction.

Dr Balakrishnan noted that, in May this year, Singapore voted in favour of the resolution expressing support for Palestine's membership in the United Nations after "very careful consideration".

"This reflected our hope to encourage both Israel and Palestine to resume direct negotiations towards a two-state solution, at a time when in fact the prospects for such negotiations were increasingly bleak," he said.

The decision was also in line with Singapore's consistent support for the principles of international law, he added.

It will rain brimestone and fire before Palestine do this.

they were arabs. so the jew claims to israel are lies, because the arabs were there first.

and jews came from the canaanites own territory. Those same people that you claim are lies given that they were from the Southern Levant as a religion and people proper. The Jews absolutely have a claim because before them (their own origins) were the Canaanites. The Canaanites never became Muslim until after Rome when the Muslims came marauding in and converting/kicking out Jews.

Small edit here: There were like 3 groups around. The Canaanites, the Arab tribes, and then some other groups. The Canaanites were focused primarily in the areas of modern-day Israel and Palestine. Those very same Canaanites would eventually create the Kingdom of Judah. Canaanites are not Arabs.

the arabs and jews descended from abraham. the canaanites were arabs.

do you have something that isn't pay walled. I refuse to give National Geographic any money. Furthermore, that same title says that both Jews and Arabs came from the Canaanites.

Infact, it's shown that Modern Jews are infact sharing DNA ancestry with those same Canaanites that you claim are Arab when, they are not Arabs.

I'm the lazy fuck for not going out of my way to find the archive of a post that YOU sent. The burden of making it accessible is on YOU. Not me. So get the fuck out of here with your retarded "you are a lazy fuck" shit.
Now furthermore with that same article, it literally says the exact same thing. All they do is add like 2 extra sentences between each one.

Now I will quote the very same article that YOU got your lazy ass to do.
"They are best known as the people who lived “in a land flowing with milk and honey” until they were vanquished by the ancient Israelites and disappeared from history. But a new scientific report reveals that the genetic heritage of the Canaanites survives in many modern-day Jews and Arabs." (First paragraph of https://archive.is/biLke).
Second paragraph then furthermore starts saying, and I quote, "The study in Cell also shows that migrants from the distant Caucasus Mountains combined with the indigenous population to forge the unique Canaanite culture that dominated the area between Egypt and Mesopotamia during the Bronze Age, lasting from approximately 3500 B.C. until 1200 B.C." with, fun fact, a guy from Jerusalem's Hebrew University, says that all individuals from the sites they researched (From the Modern Levant, aka where Israel, Sinai, Palestine, Lebanon, and so on are, to the Caucasus and Iran were all sharing more than half of their own DNA with the Canaanites that infact, 90% of the Lebanese can trace their DNA ancestry to the Canaanites. Palestine can only do half much like the Jews. This article further finishes off with "“the present-day inhabitants of the region are, to a large extent, descended from its ancient residents,”"
So no, the Canaanites were not Arabs. They lived between the Egyptian Pharoahs (At this point, Egypt was not the modern day Islamic Arabic. It became so around 640 CE, after the fall of Rome) and Mesopotamia which was Arabic.

The Jews literally spawned from the Canaanites. So the Jewish Arabs were there before the Palestinians who claim their descendance from Canaan, yet both the Jews and the Palestinians are only more than 50% Canaanite. Lebanese are 90%.

tl;dr: Jews have the right to Israel still because they came from the Canaanites. The Palestinians came from Canaanites aswell. They are genetically similar with the differences being Religious. Islam came in roughly 7th century CE whereas Judaism came from the 2nd Millenium BCE. PBS adheres to Judaism being older than Islam. PBS Source Whereas the Palestinians, who are hellbent on themselves being before Judaism, only claim it as per Islam. Yet Islam came after Judaism and to which Islam believes that Christianity and Judaism are early versions of Islam.

Arabs are from Arabia. The historical Canaanites were not Arabs and would never have considered themselves to be. Same with the Israelites. Neither spoke Arabic. People can be related without being the same.

One fact that is often ignored is that most of the people in the Middle East and Northern Africa who are called Arabs are not really Arabs. Egyptians, for example, despite living in a state called the Arab Republic of Egypt and speaking Arabic are not Arab, even if some may have little Arab admixture. The Islamic conquest basically destroyed many native cultures and identities and replaced them with a generic Arabic identity, because Islam, despite being theoretically for all peoples contains an element of Arab supremacism. There is also the element of Pan-Arabism, which attempts to unite all "Arab" countries politically, and under Islam, of course.

The Palestinians come from a mix of different people. Many surrounding nations have claimed the region now called Palestine as their own. For thousands of years that region was ruled by various empires (Babylonian, Assyrian, Greek, Roman, Arab, Turkish, etc.). The first time the Palestinians, whoever you think they are, had a chance at an independent state was when the British were in charge and we've seen how that has gone.

In my opinion, lasting peace in the Middle East is impossible unless it's being ruled by an empire that can quell any violence. Taking Jews out of the equation would not stop the conflicts because Middle Easterners, perhaps especially Muslims, love to fight each other. They are fighting each other right now, in Syria, the Arabian Peninsula, and other places. Adding Jews stokes the fire, because Jew-hatred is literally a part of the Islamic religion, as is the idea that the Muslims must always be in power.

In summary, the Middle East is mess.

Palestine is the colonial name. You should acknowledge the land and call it Judea.
Well, to be precise that piece of land has been named Palestine far longer that is has been named Judea, and the historical region of Judea only compromises a small part of the current territory of Israel. (Back in ancient times, you had the Kingdom of Judea and the Kingdom of Israel, they warred against each other constantly)

The only person who was funny explaining a joke was Norm MacDonald. Why did he die and not you instead?

That's irrelevant given Judaism and Christianity literally were founded in Palestine. Palestine as a region was called as such because in 5th century BCE, the Greeks called it Palaistine with the first reference to the area (not the name Palestine) being 12BCE.

It became Judea not because the Jews named it that but because the ROMANS named it Judea as a PROVINCE. Palestine itself was Canaanite, not Arab. So no, Palestine as we know it today was not around before the Jews because back then it was a Region and the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity.
