The future Nolan thread can serve as a barometer. If a focused and to-the-point thread like that constantly gets niggered by sperging, "anime le bad stickers to the right fellow kiwis XD" spam and attempted gayops, there's no hope for a general vtuber lolcow thread. If it survives, there's a chance, however slight.

I get that they all have weeb names, since it's a Japanese company it's expected, yet they went all out with the goofy shit with every gen after the first 3 breadwinners. Some of the names just scream internal sabotage. How do you CHOOSE to accept a name like.. Doppio Dropscythe? Or Kunai Nakasato? How bad is your current streaming career that you would accept THAT without asking for a better name? This is akin to Stone Cold Steve Austin choosing "Ice Dagger" or "Chilly McFreeze" when he wanted out of that dog shit Ringmaster gimmick.

yeah seeing stuff like the sektur vtuber adjacent thread, it just starts to become a rrat breeding ground where it's just "I don't like this thing, so I will accept at face value any negative thing about that thing that I dislike, even if I am presented with zero proof or evidence" which just turns threads into more of a hate circlejerk than anything with any actual meaningful information documenting going on. and the thread gets derailed by slapfights between the people who just want to talk about hating all these heckin vtubers and people trying to correct misinfo or defend their oshi's honor on the internet.

Not something even this thread is immune to on occasion if the right topic flairs up and people start latching onto rrats over actual information (a lot of the offkai conspiracy theory talk comes to mind) but we usually eventually course correct at least.

The Nolan thread has alot of potential and ive been reading on the grapevine that recent events have made people consider much more heavily doing a more formal KF lolcow thread, ever since he got banned from the Chinese discords he has been sperging up a storm

On the not-Mel rumor, if Kson does rescue her then even more reason to love that dork. Mel is too much of a sweet dork to languish in obscurity.

How much of a shit show is VShojo? Obviously they work in nepo hires, but I'm curious if there's any other shit on them.
They give off very clique vibes at least with talents and who they associate with.
I can't think of much drama aside from the British cheating whore, scammer and Rushia.
