Only recently learned about Gunther. Had a cursory glance at his post history and I really love his stuff! Utterly fascinated by how he is apparently a real person and espousing his very real views. At a glance I might have written him off as a parody account, but I think you would be hard pressed to outdo him even if you were writing satire.

Gunther is fantastic, looking forward to see what he will put out in the future. Just knowing this goofball exists and is out there posting his unfiltered truth fills my day with mirth. The prospect that he could at some point trigger some sort of international relations incident tickles me greatly.

Supporting terrorism is a huge step up for Gunther. His posts about balkanizing countries always seemed very tongue-in-cheek and innocent. But advocating for terrorists just can't come off in the same way. I wonder when he'll call on Islamic terrorists to attack Austria as a means of destabilizing the government till they can repeal the Basic Law and come up with a new one that doesn't demand eternal neutrality.

He used Americans funneling guns to the pIRA as an example of how beneficial mutual defense pacts could be to the Republic of Ireland. Tbf I think he just got the timeline confused and thought the US was the main source of rifles for 1916 and the 20s.

It's quite possible he is saying out loud what at least some other western politicians are thinking in private and i'm pretty sure he made other controversial tweets in past, doesn't change what he said was not something i agree with

He is saying exactly what they're thinking, that is the issue. European (and American) powers causing chaos in other countries for their benefit through corruption, terrorists or saboteurs is a long-time practice. From the Thirty Years' War to the Shining Path in Peru, or from the French and Indian Wars to the bullshit the US pulled in Afghanistan during the 80s.

Personally I respect it a lot more when people are honest and flat out say they want to harm other countries to benefit their own. Don't insult me by pretending you have some more noble aim in mind and this is a necessary evil.
