It is more probable than not that John was trying to fly somewhere, got randomly flagged for secondary screening, and just arbitrarily decided that it was a watch list because John is such and uber important mover and shaker.

A little bit of positive feedback for Wu from me, I just watched (listened to, really) a 4 person debate which included Wu and he was completely tolerable. He mostly sat back and let smarter people talk (plus Cenk Uygur) and didn't try to portray himself as an expert. Actually, he contributed next to nothing to the debate, but the only time he said more than a couple short sentences was a fairly reasonable point about Obama being a successful candidate because he didn't get too bogged down in policy details on the campaign trail and supporters filled in the gaps with their own preferences.

I don't think he's necessarily dumb. I think he's of normal intelligence and clearly thinks he's a super genius.
