I personally think he does know. He abused it for nearly a decade after spending a month in prison and getting a felony. That little stint would be the wake up call for your average middle class 19 year old who got raised with Christian values and strayed from the path. We don't know exactly when Austin decided to start being to a total piece of shit. There may even be some external factor, personality disorder or learning disability etc, as you speculate. It happened a long time ago whenever it was.
I don't think it's a reach to believe that Austin has been verbally abusive to his parents for a decade at this point. There is circumstantial evidence that he's been violent towards them or at least violent in front of them for the purpose of intimidation. Austin joked years ago when he was still streaming OSRS about suicidebaiting his viewers. I don't think he just thought that up for the sake of grifting. I'm betting that's a tried a true tactic honed against Bossmom.
The point is that Austin is a piece of shit. He even used the giveaways are a means to guilt chat. It's not like they were some selfless act. His formative teenage and young adult years were spent being an abusive manipulative, drug addicted criminal with little or no pushback. It'll take a monumental amount of humbleness and willpower, that Austin doesn't possess, to change that at 30 years old. He might have been a good kid led astray 10-15 years ago. That kid is gone and is never coming back. I personally believe that most people can change, they just chose not to because it's hard. I seriously doubt Austin is capable at this point. Maybe if he finds religion in jail inshallah.
tl;dr Either send him away or Free my nigga BMJ! Anything else is a half-measure that does nothing and robs me of my crack monkey.
