Either way, regardless of how much time had passed, I think I'd still be pretty pissed if one of my closest friends fucked my ex I'd come close to marrying, after I asked them not to. Especially when it seems pretty clear Dax only did it to piss Maddox off. I'm not saying I'd be angry enough to launch a lolsuit that ruins my career, but I'd probably cut ties with such a scummy person.
Part of the problem I have with this is that while he might frame it that way, Maddox deep down isn't angry that a friend of his stole his girlfriend. He is merely angry that his girlfriend ended up with somebody who wasn't him. Marie could have broken up with Maddox with no other man involved, moved to some third world shithole in another part of the world and eventually began dating a man who Maddox had no idea previously even existed. Maddox would have still sat in his Dragon Quest bedsheets angry at the two of them for having what he couldn't have and would hold a vendetta over it until the day he dies, even probably stalking her on social media and finding joy if something bad were to happen to the two.

That is what has to be understood about what happened between Dick and Maddox. Dick's actions are very revealing about what a scumbag he is, but his character doesn't reflect on why Maddox did what he did. Maddox is a very bitter, vindictive and overall obsessive human being who treats everything that happens to him as if it is an act of war. Whether Dick was justified or unjustified with his behavior, Maddox was going to react negatively to it because that is just who he is.

Yes, actually. I've had friends ask me and I said yeah no worries because I didn't care, but I appreciated the fact they cared enough to ask me first.

Honestly it sounds like you've just got shitty friends and you'd all snake on each other in an instant if it'd make you a buck, but who am I to judge. You'd certainly get on well with Juju though.
What if you had said no? Would you then expect the friends to then go back and let your ex know that "they can't sleep over because mom said no"?
It has nothing to do with someone “owning” their ex.
And if it’s not fine, then you should not date their ex. Not because they actually had the right to say no. But because if they’re actually your friend, you should care enough about them to not hurt them by dating their ex.
How do you square those two contradictionary statements? Their former possession (and current) is precluding your and their exes romantic opportunity.

I'm floored to learn that there are people who took the brocode lists from the early aughts seriously, but I suppose if there is gonna be a place for people to do it it's gonna be the threads for early aughts e-celebs.

How do you square those two contradictionary statements?
They aren’t contradictory, you’re just retarded and, frankly, probably autistic.
Ownership invests actual rights. E.g. ownership of a piece of land invests the right to exclude others from that land.
You never “own” a romantic partner in that sense. But you do “have and hold” them in such a way that society generally looks down upon someone else engaging with them romantically. If you want to call this some form of mutual ownership, fine. It’s not accurate IMO, but whatever.

Now, once a relationship ends, that sort of “mutual ownership” ceases. It’s not morally wrong to date someone’s ex in that same way it is to date someone’s girlfriend or wife. Not even close.

BUT, because people are as much emotional animals as they are rational ones, the courteous thing to do is to understand their emotions. If your close friend is hung up over the ex you want to date, and dating that ex would bring them emotional pain, you shouldn’t date them.
Not because of any sense of ownership they may have over the ex, but because a good friend doesn’t hurt their friends.

This has nothing to do with “bro-code” or whatever. This is just friendship basics. People can have irrational and emotional attachments in relationships that linger. You may bring them emotional pain by dating their ex. Since a good friend doesn’t harm their friends, you should ensure that dating their ex won’t bring about that harm.

To bring this back to the thread topic: ignoring these simple kindnesses is how you get degenerates like Juju: People who don’t care at all about how others feel, or how their actions may harm them. All that matters is getting what they want.

Im not the one living by some weird dating code but, if it being called how you view it is has your hackles up so much we can call it conferred unallowed courtship courtesy rights or whatever. How long is someone owed such rights? Is it indefinitely? Maddox lost his mind over 3 years, that's a pretty long time. Is there a point where someone should probably be over their ex enough to not violate the bro code?

It seems such a weird and insane thing to get upset for him for in a thread when he's currently trying to use a midget and a retarded woman to ruin a nigger for actually releasing comics.

Are those the facts, though?
Again, idk. It's likely we'll still never get a clear, objective picture of what transpired because both Dax and Maddox have their own, very different accounts. Dax had the advantage of having a near-monopoly on the public narrative, and in a lot of ways I feel bad for Maddox because that put him into a lose-lose situation where not responding allows Dax to slander him for years while responding gives him attention which he so desperately craves.

My God, this shit got spastic fast.
Consider if youre thinking about dating your friends ex they might warn you off of a serious mistake. Like imagine you dont ask your friend about this girl they used to date and you find out something horrific about them, like theyre italian, or jewish, or from england.
Very reasonable. I'm not saying you shouldn't talk to your friend if you're thinking of dating their ex. I'm saying that if you ask his "permission," you may as well lick his asshole while you're about it.

Im not the one living by some weird dating code
Nobody here is living by some code, that’s just a straw man you’ve put up. This is all just very basic stuff about how friendships work. I genuinely think you may be autistic if you don’t understand why people think “you should make sure you don’t hurt your friends by dating their exs”

How long is someone owed such rights? Is it indefinitely?
Again, nobody is owed anything. Even if your friend says that it would severely hurt them and perhaps end the friendship if you date them, they aren’t “owed” your refrain.
It’s just that you’re probably a dick if you go through with it. Not always, the friend may be hung up over something so trivial that they’re plainly wrong and should be ignored, or talked to, or something. It’s friendships, there’s no set rules or “code” as you like to call it.

Maddox lost his mind over 3 years, that's a pretty long time
Maddox was probably out of line, but JuJu was also a retard given that he was dealing with both a close friend and business partner. Fucking your business partners ex is never a good idea.
And I don’t think anyone is genuinely upset at Dax for what he did re: dating Marie. It’s more that looking back, it shows he was never a person worth respecting, and was always a degenerate who didn’t care about anyone but himself. Be it in being an asshole to his friend and business partner, or in how he treated mint, or his current behavior with Eric. It’s all a common thread. People who cared about others at all wouldn’t behave like this

There is no combination of words that will stop me from pretending Maddox is a badass chad that Juju wishes he could be (short of him being exposed for pedophilia or a sex crime, anyways).

Until then, all hail King Maddox! He didn't want that trashbag hoe Marie anyways!

I think it would really be circumstantial. Definitely the way Diddler did it. But if I were still on good terms with everyone and it wasn't some weird, sneaky, act of snakery just to fuck with me? I'd let it slide.
As such, if one wishes to show their close friend, and business partner, kindness and courtesy, they should ask them “hey is it ok if I do this?” Not because they have any right to deny it, but because it shows you care about their feelings. And while the friend should say “yeah it’s fine,” they may not, because again, people rarely approach relationships purely rationally.
Pretty much this.

Diddler didn't do this though, he deliberately fucked with that other malding cuck weirdo.

I'd agree with all this, except didn't Maddox break up with Marie? I can totally see him being a 'I don't want her but you can't have her either' type of dickhead, mind you. This all comes back to me wanting clarity we'll probably never get; there's so much he-said-she-said bullshit that it's impossible to state with any certainty who is wrong for what.

I think the easiest solution is to assume that all parties involved are awful people who ultimately got what they deserved. Well, not so much Dax, but his is in the post and when it does arrive it's gonna make Maddox and Marie's fates look like a lottery win.

Remember when he used to pretend that Marie was a hapa with huge boobs?
I've tried to avoid being overly critical of Marie's appearance because it feels cheap and needlessly cruel, but I've got to admit: it's very funny the way he calls her "80s girl" and describes her large breasts and perfect legs, you'd think he's dating Jennifer Lopez or something. When in reality she's a very typical looking school teacher with a manjaw.

Shes an LA 3 but a Michigan 6, everyone talks about how the trojan war was fought for Helen, and the speculation was how beautiful she was. Now we are in a 8 year long copefest over a legit LA 3 from both of these faggots lol.
