I make it an October-November Surprise. In October leading up to Election Day, I'd get the CIA/FBI/NSA/whoever to start making a lot of loud noises and waves about Russian interference, really hammering it on like a drumbeat. I mean like, way bigger media waves than even they had post-2016. Once November rolls around, if Joe loses I make him refuse to recognize the validity of the election, that there were too many irregularities in Red States with voter suppression, that there are credible intelligence reports of Russian interference, and that Trump cannot be considered the legitimate victory. I use the media to hammer out all of the usual buzzwords about electoral fraud (voter suppression in Red States, Russian hackers, whatever sticks throw it) and prepare Federal agencies for the showdown.

And then I roll the dice. All or nothing at all.

Podesta's reaction (the stand-in for Biden) was to threaten seceding with the west coast, order D governors on some states Trump won to send electors for him under claims of "voter suppression" to justify it. At which point the wargame collapsed because the House named "Biden" president but Senate and White House stuck with Trump and no one could accurately play the role of the US Military on the roleplay.

The first question is if the traditional/moderate democrats can do that without destroying the party. The answer, from my perspective, is no. If the democrats aren't in a civil war right now, they will be if they try to purge the progressive wing.

There's always a chance they'll catch him in a lucid time and he'll be.... well, better than the utter trainwreck he was last debate. Best case is probably how he was in the ABC interview, where he was mostly coherent but looked old as fuck, tired, and was a defiant, reality-denying asshole (which is his MO since forever). "Old Man Yells At Clouds" is the 'good' version of Biden now, but it's repellant and will never make up ground.

It's one thing when that relative is a parent or grandparent and you have to take the car keys away. It's not fun, leads to resentment and anger that you wish didn't have to happen. It's another when that older person is the president of the united states that you've been lied to about their physical and mental state. Biden insisting he is fit for office and arrogantly brushing concerns makes him look exactly like that older relative.

Second, a belligerent biden is more like to get into a confrontation with Trump. Either verbally or physically. If I recall correctly, there were a couple of occasions when biden threatenedd to physically fight Trump in 2020. Another time he challenged Trump to a push up contest. An angry, aggressive biden may well decide to go over to Trump's podium and fight him. I don't know the legality of a former president defending himself against a current one would be, but I know it won't look good for biden. Especially if he loses. Or if he trips and falls trying to get to Trump. Or if he decides to do the push-up contest and can't get back up off the floor without assistance. In either case he's finished.

Simply to much that can go wrong with a belligerent biden. Better a passive, barely coherent one.

If you had to be in charge of redesigning the american political system what would you do?
I would personally double the amount of senators and representatives in each state so its harder for lobbyists to control government.

I like this general view, though I disagree with parts of it. I think the number of senators per state is good enough, but what needs to happen is that the Apportionment Act of 1911 needs to be repealed. What really needs to happen is a constitutional amendment that requires a house representative for every 30,000 US citizens.

1- Roe was a judicial decision and the executive has no say over it.
2- Codifying a law is the House's job. He can ask for it but can't force it.
3- Roe was overturned while he was president, proving he couldn't or didn't want to prevent it.
4- Democrats have fundraised on codifying Roe for decades, and they've never introduced a bill during one of their multiple majorities to do so.

Why would they ever give you what you want when they know you're never going to vote for anyone but them? Why go out of your way to appease a demographic that's already 100% loyal to you?

No, it's because you need large populations that have large voter rolls. The way they cheat is by failing to clean up the voter rolls, so that ballots can be generated for all types of dead/fake people. Then NGOs and DNC funded organizations get those ballots filled out and submitted. The result is that a vote comes in that corresponds with the "official" record of voters on file. The places where this can work best have large, dense populations, aka cities. And Dems control most of those cities, and have controlled most for long enough that the corruption has become endemic.

Republicans could do ballot dropboxes and all that nonsense, but the DNC will have an advantage as long as the voter rolls are (purposefully) unmaintained and the people in charge of (failing to maintain) the rolls are Democrats. It took until after 2016 for Brenda Snipes, the democrat in charge of Broward County, Florida, to get busted and removed. And that took state intervention. In a place like Michigan, Minnesota, New York, California, etc. that's never going to happen.
