So, pardon my powerleveling, but:
I was raised by an actual insane prepper between 4 and 12 years old. I was taught shooting, trapping, IED building, small-unit tactics, etc. from a VERY young age by someone who thought the world would end in the year 2000. After that situation ended, I had a more normally dysfunctional kind of childhood and it didn't really come up much.
Now I'm married and have kids. People might think I'm just REALLY prepared for a hurricane or a blizzard or something. I've got plenty of food and clean water stored, along with disaster supplies and general survival gear. I've got rain barrels and a garden that's stretching the definition and getting into "hobby farm" territory. I don't know if I really think shit is going to hit the fan in a way where any of this will be necessary, but if it does then I'm definitely head and shoulders above my neighbors, and if it doesn't then I won't even be really inconvenienced if there's a natural disaster and power goes out for a week or something.
But my desire to "be ready, just in case" is hampered by the kids. I know there's a possible future where their life outcomes are best determined by their ability to speak Mandarin and hit a man-sized target at 500 yards. And yet, I can't bring myself to bring that level of knowledge of horror into their lives. I want them to have peace and not have to know any of the shit I know how to do.
And this absolute retard faggot is having a little breakdown because the news told him it's a little hot outside and the election results might result in slightly more impediments to trannies molesting kids.
I bet he wouldn't even go full family-annhilation, just hang himself or something, because he's not even that invested in the family's safety as much as narcissistic navel-gazing over how the rest of the world doesn't share his specific beliefs.

Currently stickied to the front page is a modpost warning of an allegedly "dangerous individual" by the username of ArgentPhoenix11 (u/destruttor) who's actions are documented on a googledoc.

The IPCCs report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate

So basically sea levels will rise between 1 and 3.5 feet over the next 75 years, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. And honestly those projections will never come to pass.
Back in the day there were all sorts of catastrophic predictions about near term sea level rise because a lot of people, including lots of supposed brilliant scientists, didn't understand conservation of volume and that sea ice melting can't contribute to sea level rise. If you fill a drink to the top with water and ice you don't worry about it spilling over when the ice melts, because the volume that is displaced by ice matches the volume the ice takes up when it melts. Only fresh water ice melt can contribute to sea level rise, and most of it is locked up in antarctica where it's not going to melt any time soon.
So now they hang their hat on something called thermal expansion, which basically involves excess heating of the deep sea causing the water to expand. It's a relatively small effect and kinda puts a damper on all of those doomsday scenarios.
Of course this redditard doesn't know any of this because climate change fanatics tend not to know anything about either the science or even the pronouncements from the mother church (IPCC). They just catch some hysterical headline written by some journalist who also knows jack shit and then bases his worldview off of that headline.

I find it funny how "The End is Near" types are universally mocked for good reason, yet these fags have no differences from those types apart for their bullshit being about climate apocalypse rather than the Rapture, but it is the climate change fags that get promoted by most mainstream institutions and it is their snake oil that they peddle to the masses. At least I hope that my grandchildren can view this in the same way that we view people believing in witchcraft 400 years ago.
