Flash was CG way before Evan decided to come grift off of it. Pretty much a founder.
It was a yellowflash stream from August 4th or 5th, 2018, that got me into Comicsgate. He had on TUG, EVS, and Edwin Boyette, and the conversation was about the idea of CG, the Indiecron website, and the dream of a new, parallel indie comic movement with a singular goal. I was already at work on Street Champion Roadwarrior Drake when I listened to this stream. I thought the idea was wonderful, and the vision of an independent comic book movement that saw the propelling of new characters like Brutas the Badass, Lone Star, Ardanna, along with established IPs like Earthworm Jim and Cyberfrog, totally had me pumped, believing that my character would fit right in.
6 years later, and an entire farmers omelet is on my face as CG has become a movement of bloodsports, open invitation to pedos, piss porn fansly pornographers, Zoe Quinn lite, Dax Herrera criticizing books he hasn't read and trying to flex on real artists like Preston Asevedo, If I had known this is what CG would have de-evolved into, I'm not sure I would have joined. IBS is fun to listen to, but not an effective tool to sell comics you want to have a long life span in the market.
I'd rather have the movement that was all about getting books made and getting comic book fans invested in characters, worlds and stories again.
