Someone tries to get you to become less nervous and anxious about yourself, you use that as fuel to try to get them fired, and then quit that job because of your own issues. Instead of actually trying to think and figure out what the problem is or whether you can avoid the coworker, you choose to run away and vent online with a biased comic lmao. If someone was going out of their way to tell me that I shouldn't be so anxious about myself, going as far to take me to see other professionals in the same field, I'd think that would be pretty valuable. Some squids and other mollusks have almost total control over the texture of their skin, so a clever artist could use that factoid by having their squid's scars react badly when reminded of their accident or even past emotional trauma. The nature of the scarring process would remove some of the squid's ability to mold that section of themselves without concentration, so if the artist wanted an uwu feelsy moment then they could write a scenario in which their squid is in a highly stressful situation that's pushing her to the limit. She'd try to put on a brave face and assure the other squids that she's ok, only for the group to point out that they know she's lying because her old wound is blooming. Cue one sappy group bonding moment and what do you know, an actual moment of character development is set up that easily.
