This is incredible.

The fuck kind of "professional" broadcasting program doesn't install a dynamic range compressor? Never mind the fact that dialogue is 60% inaudible on a mobile device, even if I had my stereo with me it wouldn't help when it literally gets buried by the background music. I mean shit this is something amateur podcasts by stoners know by now.

I thought the music was added by the compiler. It's way too upbeat/funny for it to be original. Like playing Yakety Sax.

Hey guys this is more of a question about this phenomena but, what exactly are Americans taught about WW2 and Hitler in general?

I've had a British education and have been taught history and Nazi Germany at a GCSE level in my life and have realized just how extensive I know the country's history compared to some of these people who compare Hitler and Trump. Are they taught about WW2 at all? Do they even know how Hitler actually came to power?

In 12 years of public schooling none of my classes got past the Civil War. Hell, none of them got to the 20th century. I read ahead in my history book and WWII was a two page spread in my high school history book, where 2/3rds of the pages was an illustration.

So I can see people having no idea. Sadly.

Not really. I mean, maybe in some buried history or sociopolitical class on your way to a different degree, sure.

But Hitler is basically just taught as being "A very bad man who wanted to take over the world, hated Jewish people and tried to kill them all BUTFORTHEGRACEOFAMERICAANDOURFREEDOMBOMBS USA USA USA"

I didn't actually know there were other theaters of war besides France and the Pacific Ocean in WWII until I was out of school, and genuinely thought that America was the only major military force involved with just backing and support from the UK.

Granted, I just wanted the fuck out of history class, but they really don't go too much into detail about it.

I guess they really are this bummed about it. Jeez. I guess its still time to not be so unabashed about it.

People need to realize though that it needed to come to this. America has been a wreck from my eyes since 1995. The country used to be a shining diamond I'd always enjoy visiting to until about that year when I noticed things changing.

Hillary just couldn't win. Bernie should have been the General Nominee. Hillary was worse than Mitt when it came to out of touch-ness. She doesn't know how to use the New York City subway. She has never driven a car in years. She wasted so much precious time hiding from press conferences, and only did them because it became too necessary with wiki leaks. She did so and proved to be naive about it. The media took note of her unpreparedness for press on her plane right in front of her. Her guard was let far too down during the second debate, thinking the Trump Tape would shatter Trump. Trump mastered the Hell out of that particular debate. He knows how to work television. During Clinton's "Abraham Lincoln" moment, Trump had the beat just right. Knowing the exact moments the cameras will be on him.

From the outcome of Michigan, to knowing how Trump is playing all along, to believing Florida is not solid Democrat all because of Hispanics (and yes, they are Hispanics in Florida, but they are Cuban Hispanics), I really knew what was up with this election. I don't need apologies for anything though, you young Americans were just following what you believed. But you were still too young to understand how bad the Clinton's had swupt the rug under the American's feet in the mid 90s.

I don't want to get into hard details, but we want what was taken from us, and I hope Trump can help restore it.

It's because most people are smart enough to realize that everything is going to be fine after a week. Trump has been on tv since the election, he's met with other politicians and leaders, and anyone who has been paying attention has seen enough of Trump as president-elect to conclude that this isn't the end of the world. SJWs are truly exceptional.

My workplace isn't at all Trump-friendly, and there was gnashing of teeth on Wednesday. But right now the general sentiment toward the protests is "get a fucking job".

I usually rue working in an office in the middle of nowhere suburbia where the average age is 45. Now I'm thankful for it

Should give you a good idea.

Not trying to be offensive, but I find it kind of disturbing that this is all through America's lens? I don't know, we never had writing so pandering in the text books I've had during my life. Also the way this is written is just sad, I don't know what age group this is for but I don't feel it's taking the weight of the subject as seriously as it should, I don't know some words just feel out of place.

I'm hoping this is a middle school level book (ages 11-14), but it's probably for high schoolers. There's a reason most college students have to take a fuckton of remedial classes when they start.

I don't remember much, but I'm pretty sure Germany was getting shit for WWI and had massive debt ect. The people were angry and Hitler came along and used the Jews as a scapegoat for the countries problems.

I probably sound so dumb but that's what I honestly remember being taught without looking it up to verify.
