The GOP Establishment is so out of touch it hurts. They are stuck in Neocon Bush Interventionist era and want to stay there despite Trumpism getting popular. Trump candidates like MTG might get elected, but they are not that populous in the government compared to the Neocon Boomers and Silent Generation politicians who refuse to retire because there is no such thing as term limits when there should be. Trump himself is actually fairly flaky in the face of any major camp of right wing politics.

There is no one more disapproving of the GOP than GOP voters. I am seriously considering driving down to my local government building and switching to Independent. I am a very right wing person who is politically homeless in this country, so might as well drive down there soon and fill out whatever I need to fill out.

I think it's less Kamala being president and more the other associated fallout. The 25th has never been invoked in this fashion. To do so this close to the election guarantees several things
  1. Trump wins the presidency, and in a landslide
  2. Both the house and senate are lost to the republicans, possibly with a supermajority in both
  3. Investigations into everyone and thing that delt with the administration, what the January 6th committee wishes it was
  4. Guarantees an up hill battle for whoever is left to run in 2028
It's simply unacceptable to do this for the democrats. Everyone with their name attached to the current administration or who carried water for them will be finished politically. The democrat brand will be associated with braindead leadership and nightmarish levels of corruption. Better to let the old fool live out the remainder of his term for everyone else's sake and damn the nation.
You're forgetting one thing--political scandals don't matter much anymore. We're talking about the people who shut down the country and crashed the economy over a glorified flu while diverting untold billions to their corporate allies. What matters is how much you hate the other team. The Democrats want braindead leadership if it means no Trump because they're brainwashed into thinking he's Turbo-Hitler.
RNC was amazingly fake and gay in 20 and 22 to the point that some county GOP leadership in Central FL was openly talking about dropping the RNC since they only funded dipshits and their endorsement was worth nothing in the current political environment
Problem is the Republicans have the brand name. Make your own party/use the Constitution Party and you end up like the Reform Party in the UK and get 25% of the votes and a single-digit number of seats while handing the other team a landslide win. Or hopefully this coming election here where some boomer libs vote RFK Jr, college Hamas appreciators vote Green Party/some other commie shit and maybe some fags vote for the Libertarian pro-groomer guy and that knocks out 4-5% of the Democrat vote.

One of the big disconnects between the GOP and their voters Is the GOP being Holdenbloodfeast.jpg levels of pro war.

The modern right especially those on the more alt right side of the isle are probably more anti war than your average Democrat. Granted this is mostly because they think foreign interventionism is a Jewish conspiracy to fuck over America but still.

Yeah, the Interventionism stuff... that has been going on since Woodrow Wilson, and hopefully it'll eventually stop. This is why some of my favorite Presidents, Washington and Jefferson, are my favorites. Washington because of Isolationism and Jefferson because of the idea of using diplomacy and peaceful solutions instead of shooting first and asking questions later. Bush-era jingoism and jingoism in general is just a bad idea altogether, and it's practically synonymous with the US at this point. Just look at the Twitter pages of the different branches of the US Military and see jingoistic tweets about materiel meant to kill people in war. These tweets are targeted at young men with no sense of direction in life so TPTB can make a quick buck off of them to get maimed in some remote part of the world and be given the short end of the stick for the rest of their lives by the government. It's why the US military does recruiting at high schools - they prey on naive kids they can suck into this monster that is the military industrial complex. Too bad the only President that tried to listen to Eisenhower's warnings about it was killed by the Feds.

You explained why no one in politics is seriously worried about Donald Trump or the right-wing. There are enough young Republicans who want a career in pratfalling, narcissistic brown women ruined by academia, and hylics who respond like Pavlov's dogs to calling something "Hitler" to ensure the United States remains a giant creditor pyramid scheme and nationalism will never take root. The American political scam will outlive Trump and no amount of based civnat niggers talking about common sense gun control will change that. Sorry for the gay doomerposting, but rather than pretending democracy works you should focus on local politics.

The Trump campaign should just follow LibsOfTikTok's example and just show the general centrist public the unedited footage of insanely retarded shit that the normie left does. A pro-Trump commercial could literally just be 30 or 60 seconds of Biden babbling inanely with no edits, accompanied by "Imagine wanting 4 more years of this."
I've been saying since 2016 that Trump's rallies should have a huge screen where he plays and live reacts to crazy or bad-looking clips of leftists and Democrats. It'd be a mixture of a political rally and entertainment event. Some politician one day is going to do this and find huge success with the tactic because it's far more persuasive, gripping, and visceral than just giving a speech. It's also harder for the media to lie about the contents of the rally and ignore what is being brought up.

The GOP Establishment is so out of touch it hurts. They are stuck in Neocon Bush Interventionist era and want to stay there despite Trumpism getting popular.
I've mingled with Federalist Society types for a while now, and you'd be shocked how overrepresented neocons are in FedSoc. The group serves as a meeting place for elite conservatives with intellectual credentials, especially in DC where there's a huge chapter and young lawyers' division—it's pretty much the only group that credentialed intellectual conservatives can join to participate in social events and make connections. By meeting people at the conferences and observing trends you can get a good idea of the different sociopolitical currents among the DC beltway's conservatives. Of course, since Trump's election there has been a significant increase in populist types, but it's nowhere near dominant.

I've been looked at in shock when I've said tariffs can be good and that we shouldn't be getting involved in Old World conflicts that began thousands of years before our country existed. I distinctly remember asking one person if they would rather pay a dollar less on cheap plastic imports from China instead of paying a little more to protect American industry jobs from foreign competition, and they looked at me like I was crazy. Another time when our heckin' good boy allies in the Ukraine were being discussed, I asked why we should be involved. The answer was Russia and their spread in Europe—to which I asked "Why should Russia be our enemy?" Again, I was looked at in shock, mouths agape, with the response being that of course Russians are our enemy, they're the Russians from the Soviet Union! They're evil! I didn't even know how to respond because they straight-up didn't consider Russia as anything more than the continuation of the USSR and thus our eternal enemy. I literally received scoffs when I said the Soviet Union hasn't existed for decades and that Russia should be treated as its own independent entity.

Point being, the GOP establishment is out of touch, and it made no sense to me why and how they could think this way until I started meeting the elite conservative DC milieu. Only then did I realize how it could be this way. It's not old people who wake up thinking it's still 1984, it's a sliver of neoconservatives who exist in massive disproportion in DC and who look down on blue collar workers, think Russians are inherently evil, and believe we should be expanding the American Empire around the globe through military intervention.

I disagree. Something like 20% of registered republicans actually vote in primaries and the candidates that do win are usually the ones that outspend their opponents because the majority of the electorate are neighborcattle who haven’t figured out that big money almost never aligns with their interests. They still offer empty platitudes about lower taxes and the only lesson they’ve learned is to not go full retard like with MTG and Mitt Romney.

If the GOP were truly out-of-touch with the boomer retards that form the backbone of Republican voters, they’d be struggling to get re-elected.

Yeah that's why I'm not particularly thrilled with him as a candidate. Even if he were to be sworn into office, there stands a legion of bureaucratic dick bags who will do nothing except subvert the presidency.
Nobody will cooperate with him period. Biden if he wins again we'll get stuck probable with kamila Harris or whatever shadowy puppet group has their hand up her ass that week.
Personally outside of a young clone of Pat Buchanan I can't think of a better person to fuck over the establishment than Trump right now. Trump is a boomer but unless he's actually full blown retarded he has to know his only chance at survival is to win and go full Bukele mode. He'd be retarded if he didn't have these fuckers all locked up or shot because he no doubt knows by now they will lock him up or shoot him if he doesn't.

What's the wording in the constitution?

Which people are fed up with Trump? Or are you talking more reddit-tier bollocks?

I stopped taking you seriously here.

2/10 wouldn't pretend to read again.

"The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators."

In short, Congress sets it so the date is:

First Tuesday of November, except if that Tuesday is the first of the month, i.e. somewhere between 2-8 November depending on where the Tuesday hits.

And to change it would require congress to sign a bill changing it. We more or less combined legally the Presidential and Congressional elections.

I guess if you're too lazy to look outside your own personal biases and hug boxes I can do the googling for you.

And that's not including the vast number of Gop members that don't endorse Trump. And you can't honestly say that the entire country of the United States is 100% backing Trump. This election cycle seems to be deeply divided on both sides.
Alright, enough with the ChatGPT. You're literally asking it which groups are upset with Trump. You're not a serious poster and you should absolutely be disregarded by anyone reading this thread. I don't know if it's against the rules, but it should be.

Use your own eyes and brain, you absolute mouth-breathing turbonigger.

The lazy nigger that asked me what groups couldn't be bothered to do a simple Google search. There's an entire section of the GOP party that does not condone Trump since, day one. There's conservative movements that do not condone Trump. Just because you vote with an r or a d doesn't mean you necessarily condone either candidate it's really a fucking stupid question.
No, asshole. You're responding with a basic AI answer. It's how it's worded in the response. If you think that's any kind of source whatsoever you have a case of terminal brain rot.

If you Google anything any about Trump or ask ChatGPT the same you will invariably get no answer or a negative answer. Feel free to look into the political leanings of either Google or OpenAI (majority investor Microsoft.)

This is such common knowledge. AI isn't a primary, secondary, or tertiary source. It's a mishmash of bullshit information fed through an algorithm that's openly manipulated and frequently "hallucinates" answers.

Edit: I'm the asshole for giving you the benefit of the doubt yesterday with your AI shenanigans, which you claimed was just helping you with grammar and syntax. I was wrong, you're using it as a prosthesis for you're brain, and that's fittingly retarded.

Hawai'i Governor Josh Green continues to do damage control on Biden, saying that it was just a joke when Biden said that "saying everything was fine [with his health] except for his brain:"

Green, whose wife’s uncle was Biden’s college roommate, also provided insight into last week’s meeting that governors had with the president. During the meeting, Green asked Biden about his health. Biden responded by saying everything was fine except for his brain.

Green told the AP that the president was joking, and that context was lost when leaked by other people.

“It was absolutely a joke, and in order to make a self-deprecating joke, you have to have intact cognitive function, period,” Green said.

He also discounted any assertion that advisers crafted the meeting to have governors supportive of Biden speak first to quell any dissent. Instead, he said it was a very candid, unscripted conversation with 25 governors with differing opinions.

“That call had just like you’d expect in a coffee shop, a few people mouthed off, a few people, you know, probably excessively praised the president, but almost everybody was just trying to see, ‘Are we OK?'” Green said.

So we even have nepotism involved with Green and Biden too. He also said this, regarding who should have the nuclear codes:

“For God’s sake, these two guys have to hold the nuclear codes,” Green said. “I don’t want someone who tweets in the middle of the night and rages at other countries. That is not good. That’s not the problem we have with President Biden.”

He'd also rather have someone who'd likely be asleep when the need for those said nuclear codes arises.

And yet, he still insists on flaunting the "Dr." part of his title, which would make quacks like Kevin Trudeau (no relation to Canadian PM Justin, sadly) seem more credible.

but the damage was done.
Remember, the democrats don't win because their more popular, they win because the GOPe refuses to fight back.

The debate was 11 days ago. If political scandals don't matter anymore than the past 11 days don't exist. Most people aren't painfully aware of how bad biden is. The democrats haven't been in full blown panic mode and calling for biden to step down.

This was at the other event, an ice cream social, after the church appearance.
Maybe I'm imagining this but Jill in the back seems to start panicking at the 7-8 second mark.

ChatGPT detection sites exist. https://gptzero.me/

if you make these accusations please use some form of AI detection to back up your claims. Otherwise you're not contributing to the topic
