it's so apparent with how roleplay was underutilized by the fish. Xavier demonstrated how far they could take it and how it gets rewarded. Greg's playstyle leads fish well as a scaffold with less heavy RP commitment. Instead they actively squash roleplay opportunities and invitations to arcs derailing the gay LARP

In S2 especially they were discouraged from standing out. The fish that stands out gets dogpiled for content. That's why the director presumably makes the big bucks, it is his job to convince them to want to be entertaining and if done right they wouldn't even realize that's what's going on. Instead, you have Jet and Ben literally saying "do something" to them, which isn't giving direction.

Other than Xavier a lot of production also forgot about role playing as of late and seem to devolved into only Fishtank logic that means scream loudly and pull stuff out at random for viewers to clap over.

It's literally just the fishtank audience being turbo autists and taking the whole Josie vs Letty thing too seriously from season 1. There are still people who believe Letty is an evil manipulative whore and that it wasn't just part of the show it was real and she's really a bad person. Look at Jon who for an entire year after still hated Letty.

Does anyone else remember the start of season 1 when TTS was turned on for the first time? Jet and Co sent like 5-10 messages insulting Jon pretty harshly to set the stage. After that Jon received a torrent of shit for the first several days. Jon started getting really sullen for the first time and then Sam and Jet made a really big point, scolding the audience, by saying "if you bully the retard off the show then we won't have any content" (also in regards to everyone calling Sylvia fat nonstop). Then they showed Jon the fake Andwew Tate tweets to cheer him back up and Sam started gassing him up in general.

It's funny to think back on after everything we've been through. Meanwhile I'm watching Jimmy get his ass obliterated by TTS over the leaked messages and the Vance situation.

Oh how far we've come.
 
I am kinda late getting caught up on S2.5, and just wondering what the consensus is? Personally I think it's the best season yet. Loving Xavier and the Duke roleplay. I expected Fatty to play a Shrek type character, but even King Fattyus cracks me up.

The people actually RPing or attempting to are doing a stand up job even if they come off annoying(Fatty's two-face character) or fall kinda flat(Jet's shit overall). I think Jon took a bit to get it because he's retarded but I enjoyed his time in retrospect.

Xavier has just been fucking killing it though. Then you look at Jimmy who still has this gameshow mindset and thinks he's roleplaying but essentially he's not even enjoying it; He just wants to "win" and throws a tantrum when things dont go his way.

The Xavier GF thing was just too fuckin' hilarious.

I haven't been following this but I'm interested in why Jet would leak this stuff? Even though he most likely didn't I still want to know the context behind why people thought it would have been him. What's going on with Jimmy?
