I'm guessing Death Note.
How in the world did you get that? I didn’t even think of it until I saw the tags/comment at the bottom.
You either cheated by doing a reverse search or you are a genius. I didn’t really expect anyone to figure it out, much less this quickly.

These are supposed to be X-Men. I think one of them is supposed to be Wolverine. From artist G1NGERBRED.

And I think these are MLP characters.

Honestly the Twilight designs with these kinds of things are always pretty good, somehow.

It is, and that's why so many in this sphere age rapidly. The body is designed to handle real stressors, not 6 gorillion precieved micro aggressions in one xitter session, and it causes burn out so fast it's not even funny. This is also why so many sjw women are forced to rely on canes in their late 20's, even the ones who aren't weirdfats.
It's so damn stupid too. So this one twitter artist drew her a shade lighter in their fanart. It doesn't make her like that in the show. We can have millions of negrofied (their word, not mine) fair-skinned characters, but soon as it's the other way around we have a problem.

Avatar's always had this weird fandom contingent that is obsessed with skin color. They see cartoon characters as literal representations of real-world ethnic groups. Note that the person starting this drama said "white artists" as if Korra, whose tribe is tan-to-dark skinned while living on a fucking block of ice, is a black queen or some shit.

The one in the center looked like L, but I had no idea who the others were. Also I saw a dramatic reading of Light and Dark: Adventures of Dark Yagami recently, so I was reminded about insane Death Note fanfic.

I’ll admit, the third to last panel had me feeling slightly bad for sharing this here…only for the following one to have me thinking “yeah, piss off. You couldn’t even spell eternity right.”
But bones can and do tell the sex of someone, which is all that matters. Archaeologists don't care about someone's mental illness in thinking they were the opposite sex, they just want to know whether the bones found in an important burial mound or mass grave site were from a woman or a man. It helps with knowing what a population could have been made up of, what sex was often the ruling classes, how society at that time treated women compared to men etc.
Arguments like these only exist because they know, deep down, that they will never be a true woman/man due to the size and shape of the pelvic bones, the ribs, the cranial structures and so on.

Artist getting harassed for not making character look dark enough, called several slurs in replies and qrt.

Seeing this bothered me, and no one really commented on why it does, I'm going to sperg for a bit about a fictional character and lighting.

The screenshots that kirammarts used have most of Korra shaded, meaning her skin appears darker in those shots due to the lighting. In reality, this is how Korra looks when the shadows aren't covering a majority of her face and arms;
1720465660620.png1720465603889.png
Both of these are still character portraits that are meant to showcase her design in full. These are often used for promo art and such, but as it's assumed the character is in neutral lighting, it's the most accurate depiction of what her skin tone is. It's a very mid-tone brown; while the artist did lighten up some of Korra, her skin tone is still around the same ballpark as her official colors, the major difference being that she's shifted to a more warmer tone instead of a cooler one.

Keep in mind, however, that animated characters' skin tones may vary throughout a show. This is because characters are colored based on their environments. Think about what factors may contribute to a color appearing differently; is the character out in the day or night? Are they under a bright spotlight or illuminated by candles? Are they in a thick forest (may lead to a green tint) or are they in a sunset (leads to an orange tint). because they are colored based on the scene and environment they're in.

The following Korras are all from either the show itself or promotional artwork:
1720465349743.png1720465512357.png
1720465698966.png1720465750758.png
Would you look at that! In these five Korras, she has a different skin tone in each. The differences may be slight, but they're still there. Despite this, you can tell that she's brown with her hair darker and her eyes a shade of blue, and that's the important part. The colors may not be on-model to Korra's actual color palette, but they're accurate to the environment she's in and make her look like she belongs there.

All of this is to say that understand what's happening when someone pulls as a "gotcha!" in a topic such as whitewashing. If someone is showing photos of the character where they're mostly in shadows, that's already a disingenuous accusation because they're purposefully picking images that make the character look darker than they are. The first photo kirammarts shows has Korra inside a home (slight orange tint) and with her face mostly in shadows. The second photo shows Korra outside (slight blue tint) and, again, with her face mostly in shadows. Both of these paint the idea that Korra is darker than she is as she's being taken in an environment, but with the context of said environment and light source completely removed.

(ETA: Fixed up some of my wording so it isn't as grammatically weird.)

They're still going on about the Korra suntan picture. I've seen a few assblasted artists redrawing it (more shittily) and grandstanding about themselves. Ironically the original photo that spawned the meme was a chinese twink who was white as paper under the tanline. The point of the meme was to show the difference in skintone before/after the tan.

These people swear up and down that DNA, bones etc can't tell someone's gender. And when asked why it tends to boil down to "I dont like it so its not true".

On the topic of Korra, reminds me when that pokemon spin off anime, twilight wings, made an episode focused on the gym leader Bea. and people claimed she was white washed.

Notice how they use a screenshot of her in broad daylight vs one where there is a lot of shading.
Bea-Eating-Sweet-Pokemon-Twiligh.png
This one is at night and indoors, and despite the ambient palette she's clearly darker/lighter because of the lighting.

Plus she's not that dark anyway.

Reminds me of how xitter tried to claim that Nessa was some Zimbabwean kween, and were then publicly humiliated by the Japanese pointing out how the character is Okinawan.

Any character who is a shade darker than a ghost gets lumped into an amorphous blob of afro-centrism.

Yeah, L is the only that arguably looks even a little like his canonical appearance. I have also seen a dramatic reading of that fic it’s hilarious if you know the general plot of Death Note. I only understood it after reading the Manga although I had seen it before.

admit, the third to last panel had me feeling slightly bad for sharing this here…only for the following one to have me thinking “yeah, piss off. You couldn’t even spell eternity right.”
What I notice about these panels is:
1. They make assumptions about science -say DNA can't do this or that - when things like DNA absolutely can do it. We have PGS scores for primitive populations and DNA is used to determine sex, not gender. Of course they need to use an opinion piece, not actual established science.
2. They think bigots will be buried alone with no one remembering them, implying they're loved and liked to begin with. Troons want to be loved so badly they'll make comics like these, but don't realize their flippant attitudes make people hate them. Most of us, historically, will be forgotten. Troons will be forgotten within a year. That's how much they're worth to their own. Do you think people remember Brianna Ghey? No.
H

honestly if these were OCS, I wouldn't be mad. She has a cute style but being woke is bottlenecking her.
Agreed. Cute but retarded. She'll ride her high but ultimately won't go anywhere.

I don't like how the artist drew a tuff of fur between Perry's legs, it feels rather unnecessary.
View attachment 6169784
Also the face they gave him in this particular drawing, with his tongue sticking out like that, is simply haram.
Giving an anthro character a fur tuff on their crotch is 9 times out of ten a terrible idea because it just draws the viewer's eyes toward it, especially with the posing and face here.
(Also the idea of Perry being trans is kinda weird because his family still thinks he's a regular-ass platypus, they're still gonna call him "he" every time he's with them.)

"But with cosmetic surgery, all that can be fixed!" (Ignore the tool marks, which an archaeologist would never do)

Just watched a field archaeologist on video clock remains from the back of a skull. If your plastic surgeon is having to shave down your [nuchal lines](https://johnhawks.net/assessing-skeletal-sex-from-the-cranium/), pronouns are the least of your problems.

100% convinced that this creative decision is muscle memory from drawing furry pornography, and being left permanently uncomfortable with leaving a blank space in the genitals.

It's probably meant in the opposite direction. Perry being FTM has some evidence because of this gag from the bodyswapping episode:

It's probably meant in the opposite direction. Perry being FTM has some evidence because of this gag from the bodyswapping episode:
First: male monotremes/mammals/marsupials can lactate under certain conditions while still being fully male. Second: the theory about the genital tuft makes sense, I just never had occasion to ever think about it. Furries need to die.
