Its striking how different the elite's expectations were from the reality on election night when it came to Blacks and Latinos.
Even now when you watch interviews with minority protesters, they talk as if Trump and his supporters are about to start a genocide but apparently that fear didn't translate to normal people. Blacks didn't bother going to the polls to vote for Hillary even though she had the full support of Obama whom they voted for twice. If you watch the news you'd think a wave of terror was sweeping through the Latino community and that they were going to the polls in record numbers to keep Trump out of office. But somehow he actually did better with those demographics than previous GOP candidates.
The news casters and journalists who were speeding this fear must be very confused, especially the minority ones. I wonder if some of them are coming to the harsh realization that simply going through collage (much less actually getting a job for a news website or on TV) has left them even more out of touch with there own people than a successful white person is from a working class white person.
