The only way she's in a more athletic shape is if she's into bowling.

No, Cecily. You were able to protect her, you just were too fucking lazy to try acting like a grown-up. Too lazy--by your own admission--to bathe more than once a week. Too lazy--by your own admission--to clean your bathroom more than twice a year. Too lazy--by your own admission--to do the dishes more than twice a month. I could go on.For reasons we don't know or understand, some folks in our neighborhood have withdrawn themselves from us over the last six months. At first I wasn't sure it was happening, but tonight it finally became unavoidably obvious.
It fucking sucks.
Today when they rejected yet another offer for the kids to play together, Tori's face was just... GAH. Heartbroken. Luckily, we were saved from a horrible scene thanks to other kids in our neighborhood coming over and distracting her.
Honestly, I don't really blame them. We're intense in person, we have strong opinions that we never shut up about, sometimes we slip and swear in front of their kids (although we're working hard on that one), and we haven't been our cheerful selves much of late thanks to our financial stuff. So, yeah, sure. Don't hang with us. Whatever.
But when this kind of direct rejection – including actually walking away when it's clear that the kids want to play together – it stops being just about how I can be an annoying asshole, and it becomes an issue of me wanting to get all up in their business because LOOK, PEOPLE, CAN'T YOU TELL MY DAUGHTER'S FEELINGS ARE HURT?
I realize that this is not a particularly earth shattering issue. It's just yet another mom feeling angry and defensive on behalf of her kiddo. Truth be told, this is likely just yet another case of me flying off the handle for no reason and making a bigger deal out of it than I need to.
Chances are, Tori won't remember this.
Chances are, the neighbors have something going on that has nothing to do with us.
Chances are, I'm being over sensitive.
But ultimately? It really sucks. I never want my daughter to have that look on her face again; and I recognize my inability to protect her in that particular way.
You're right, but some of them simply have to make the stories gross and unappealing, and that's the thing that confuses me. They don't want to act like a refined escort, they want to act like a deranged hooker. If they want to be empowered with sex, they should at least be higienic about it.
Basically like the autistic guy who has a narrow view of sex and a dash of low self-esteem(Chris Chan).A lot of women talk that way because they think it's funny. It can be just locker room banter. I mean, men talk about their dicks all the time and it's no big deal.
Some women do it because they think bragging about all the dick they get makes them look desirable and therefore valuable human beings, though. In those cases it's just immaturity and insecurity. They make the stories gross because they don't know how to be sexy or refined.
Cecily only eats organic groceries from Whole Foods. When she's not around, she leaves Charlie and Tori to survive on rotten meat and gas station food (according to Charlie). Maybe that's why Charlie is getting cozy with this younger, thinner, much prettier version of Cecily online: https://www.facebook.com/danielle.vintschger --who knows, she MIGHT be in the market for an unemployable charity case with a gimpy arm, who only learned to drive when he was 38 years old.I love that dog's face. Pit bulls have very expressive faces and this one is saying "oh god help, they'll eat me if they run out of groceries"

Cecily openly admits that she screams and rages at Charlie, often in front of Tori. I guess this is why she considers herself a "bad ass" [sic]. Either that or because she refuses to allow her daughter a shred of privacy. Before Cecily outed 10 year old Tori as "pansexual," she outed her for turning to her mother as a confidante about body issues. MOTHER OF THE MOTHERFUCKING YEAR.If Charlie ever decided to go O.J on her ass, the cops would probably let him get away with a warning.
Brutality against girls and women is a real thing that happens every day and she needs to be aware of it. After all, it doesn't just happen in the movies.
In a year or two I might wince a bit if she decides to wear a “hoochie” short skirt as part of her costume and suggest she wears leggings to keep warm, but I’m not going to tell her she’s wrong for wanting to experiment with looking pretty and, yes, even sexy — because she’s just being being a normal kid.
So maybe this year, instead of clutching our pearls and bemoaning “Hoochieween,” we can instead just support our daughters, trust their decisions, and let them have some autonomy over their own bodies. What do you say?

Usually I don't pearl-clutch about how supposedly neglected kids should be taken away from their parents. Kailyn Wilcher's daughter Gracie is developmentally stunted because of her shitty mom/grandma, and will likely amount to absolutely nothing positive, but I don't think she's neglected enough to warrant CPS coming in and seizing her.
That being said, I wish Tori could be taken from Cecily and Charlie. Cecily has proven to be incapable of giving a shit about anybody but herself and Charlie is so obsessed with being Alexander Supertramp or whatever that he doesn't have a grasp on how to live like a real person. The fact that Cecily spoils herself with fancy food but refuses to give even slightly quality food to Tori is horrible. The fact that she just gives up trying to enrich Tori's life with any kind of joy or special times, like holidays, vacations, birthdays, extracurriculars, et cetera, is horrible. The fact that she betrays her child's trust online for asspats is horrible. The fact that she encourages her child to display behaviors that socially isolate her is horrible. The condition in which they keep their house is horrible. The fact that she is denying her child an education that would provide her with necessary life skills and knowledge is horrible.
Unfortunately, unlike Gracie Wilcher, Tori is old enough that the mental and emotional damage is already done. If she was placed in the "system", she'd likely grow to be another promiscious, drug-abusing young person who grew up shuffled from one home to another. If she was placed with a sane relative - like a well-meaning grandma or aunt - she would likely have serious behavioral problems and drive the relative up the wall with her cursing, belligerence, and defiance. She's fucked unless something in her life gives her a serious shove towards positivity.
Speaking of drugs, do we know if that's another fun thing the Kelloggs get up to? I can see Charlie toking up or using hallucinogens now and then if he could afford it.

Cecily Kellogg has already had the conversation with her daughter, who is 7. Sober for 18 years, Kellogg has told her daughter in very general terms that she's a recovering drug addict and alcoholic and that addiction is a family disease.
"That is why I'm honest about my addiction, and I also tell her that she's at risk and needs to make smart decisions. At her age, this likely goes over her head, but I tell her anyway," said Kellogg, who writes for Babble.com and hosts a blog at Uppercase Woman.
More discussion that isn't age-appropriate for Tori, nice. The link is acting up for me but this is from a CNN article:
