Games like TOTK and BG3 are hated by the modern game industry because they are succeeding where the devs told us there is no room for success anymore. In the pure AAA single player, no MTX/paid DLC demographic. They spend years telling everyone that those games do not make money or find acclaim only to be proven wrong twice in a single year.

I used to respect Jim WAY back in the day.
