Completely agree. There are causes that people are far more likely to donate to that don't even scratch the surface of $700 across months of way higher engagement. Vet bills, cancer treatment, Current Issue matters such as Palestinian families raising money to go to Egypt - those kinds of fundraisers resonate with people way more, can get upwards of thousands of retweets, yet don't see a fraction of the money Mx Skywolf allegedly gets on a weekly basis. I also notice that there never seems to be the tactic of "I just donated $20 to Falkyr, can anyone match me!" or people posting pics of Venmo/checking account balances that other e-beggars employ.

I appreciate the effort the farmers here go to math out the situation, but I gotta go with Occam's razor here, man - that bitch is living pretty and running a flawless grift. I doubt the amounts raised are anything close to $700/week, but it's probably nothing to sniff at as supplemental income for 0 work.

from the weekly begging, her arrangement is costing around $700/wk on average (some months cheaper, some months more expensive). $700(4)=$2800/mo not including any other expenses. in my general area, that is the cost of a bare 1bdrm efficiency apartment, no utilities beyond heat/garbage/water, and no furnishings or insurance, or other utility bills, in a typical suburban area. depending on where the hotel is, it might legitimately be hardly more expensive than a normal rental agreement per square foot.

Why is she in a hotel then? Assuming she isn't just lying, the most likely explanation is that she can't come up with the security deposit which is usually at least two month's rent upfront. She might also have bad credit and/or an eviction on her record, which pretty much means she's SOL without a co-signer.

Speaking of, it seems her grandfather is sick of her shit and won't let her live at home because she refuses to work (though IMO he's most likely her tugboat in this situation). She figured she'd be able to mooch off of a cousin but the cousin told her to fuck off, too.

admittedly when i wrote that i thought she was in Portland or Seattle or something PNW, which is quite pricey and caters to these types. just finished reading the Colt Seidman thread and got things mixed up, my bad.

still, as a general rule, the point i made stands that in some limited circumstances doing an extended stay at a hotel or air bnb is feasible depending on what the local rents are, and for people that might not be able to pass the typical checks that an apartment or leased house might require. i think she shot herself in the foot with the private air thing since that would be an easy couch surfing grift or discount room rental. some areas can also cater to particular groups of people (trans heart patient? easy sell for a prog-lib support group that doesn't ask hard questions) for housing and sublets.

i don't want to say that there's a real stereotype for this sort of person, but its quite hard to avoid comparisons among e-beggars that have an awful lot in common vis a vie their outlook on life, personal politics, views on religion, views on interpersonal responsibilities, views on self-sufficiency, and all the drama surrounding each other with the express purpose of ensuring that there is something not themselves to blame for their hardships. it varies by person and by degree, but it's a very persistent commonality.

imagine how much less of a hassle their lives are if they kept everything the same, but had a regular job of some kind - even a super lefty friendly type of job like professional activist or political campaign worker or something.

I would wager the picture is pre-COVID. Many people packed on the lbs during quarantine and needing to eat Doordash for every meal because grocery trips were/are TOO UNSAFE.
I scrolled through their media to to see when the picture scumfuckposted was from but Twitter stopped loading at June 2022. They got evicted in March 2023, supposedly because their "land-jerks" wanted to remodel the rental house. But they were e-begging for late rent every month prior to that.

I didn't bother linking/archiving anything because I don't think it's worth it. It's all so, so one note. Week in, week out, for 2+ years. Though it's kinda sad to see that they were trying to establish a patreon/redbubble hustle first and foremost in 2022, and now it's just "gibs".

one interesting thing was a mention of getting a venmo or some similar platform, to plug in addition to the PayPal, "per the recommendation of my mother". I see positive talk about her up to about June 2023 and then the next mention of mom is December 2023, where she is apparently an anti mask antivaxxer and Falco is reluctant to answer her calls as a result. Hmm...

I can almost imagine all of those being fulfilled (especially in an actual house, not so much a tiny apartment) but I think demanding your roommates all wear masks is the most unrealistic demand.

The "respectful and welcoming toward vegetarians" also sounds like code for "don't ever cook meat when I'm living here". Otherwise why bother? Roomies don't care if you only eat tofu and carrot sticks.
