Griffith agreed to have sex with the pedophile just to save his squad, he hated himself for having to do that and started self flagelating the moment Casca reminded him of it.
He says in the manga and anime that he didn't care one way or another about the guy and simply saw an opportunity and took it. He starts self-flagelating while thinking of all the people that died for him, he is written more as an ambitious and calculist narcissist than a psychopath proper tbh, he still has empathy and compassion but it all comes second to his ego.

Only clip of the conversation I could find:

Plus the talk with Casca:

I think Griffith looks like a gay twink because of the japanese tradition of having a psychotic gay man as the main/prominent villain, such as Frieza in DBZ, the clown guy in HxH, Orochimaru in Naruto, etc.
According to Toriyama, Frieza was a caricature/based of real state speculators who he sees as evil. But there is indeed a trend of androgynous/gay evil protagonists in Shonen

His relationship with Guts is in no way sexual, people say that just because of what he looks like, saying that two friends are in a gay relationship is a joke for half of the audience and a fetish for the other half (see Naruto and Sasuke, Saitama and Genos, etc).
Guts and Griffith are friends who see in one another a better man they wish they could be.

I somewhat agree and disagree with you.

Griffith's feelings towards Guts were ambiguous with shades of romantic love in them, but Griffith himself was not self-aware of this.

Griffith, for his whole life until he met Guts, was consumed entirely by the pursuit of power and accomplishment, of greatness. He had no human connection. All of his associations and involvements with other people were motivated just by utility and power, he had followers, tools. Guts is the first person he ever meets that means more to him than that, but his relationship with Guts begins with Griffith acquiring him as another tool, another soldier to propel him to victory and power, so Griffith thinks of Guts as a tool all the way through even though Griffith's emotions towards Guts develop far beyond that of regarding him simply as a tool, Griffith's conscious mind doesn't ever realize or recognize this because it's never happened to him before, so it's unrecognizable to him.

Griffith's feelings towards Guts are part platonic love and romantic love, transcending both, and it would be very reductionist to describe it as either exclusively, they combine together to create something far deeper. I don't think either of them is gay in the sense of like some San Franciscan faggot going on Grindr to take as much dick as possible to get pozzed, it's not a generalized sexual attraction to just members of the same sex in general, but an extremely specific and narrow attraction to each other as people, their sexes being incidental. I get the impression that Griffith didn't have sexual feelings in general. Guts obviously does have sexual feelings towards women as sexual objects, but Griffith never gives any indication of having a physical sexual interest in anyone.

Gut's feelings towards Griffith are less complicated. It's much moreso a deep platonic/brotherly love and connection animated in parts by admiration, rivalry, and tenderness.

Gut's entry into the Band of the Hawk led to both Griffith and Guts developing the first human connections in their lives, Guts with the Band and with Griffith, and Griffith with Guts. Before Guts joined the Band, both of them lived purely for survival and power, fighting and killing constantly in order to not die. Guts was languishing in a chaotic and cold nihilistic void of violence, but meeting the Band and Griffith gradually started to show him that life could have a point, that being alive could have value, there was more to the world than just struggling to survive.

For Griffith, it almost showed him that there was more to life than power. For Guts, it showed him that there was more to life than mere survival.

Something worth noting is that despite Gut's impressive strength and combat ability, he never actually cared about power at all. Ironically, despite Gut's feelings being simpler than Griffith's, Guts was much more self-aware and understood himself better than Griffith understood himself, he knew he saw Griffith as his closest friend, that he cared about that, and he was willing to leave the Band of the Hawk to become equals with Griffith so that he could try, in some way, to truly be his friend. Griffith never even realized the nature of his feelings towards Guts, he automatically misunderstood his feelings towards Guts as just being his interest in having useful tools around him. It's really horribly sad. Griffith's obsession with power raped a beautifully pure emotion that existed between them to death and wiped it from existence.

One reason why Griffith's feelings towards Guts might have been more complicated and encompassed what seems to be all varieties of human love apart from sexual(Eros, due to Griffith generally seemingly indifferent to sex) is due to Griffith's complete and total arrogance and self-perception of superiority to those around him. He always put himself above everyone else in the Band of the Hawk and never truly connected with them, and so Guts was the sole focus of any human emotion that Griffith had, whereas Guts connected with both Griffith AND the members of the Band of the Hawk, and he didn't think of himself as superior to anyone, Guts doesn't think in terms of superiority and inferiority.

I've rambled too much, and my post is too long and I'm too lazy to read it to edit it and make sure that it's coherent, so it might be kind of incoherent and disjointed. Plus, we're going completely off-topic for the thread but whatever, don't think it matters too much because there isn't constantly stuff to talk about in regards to Synth.

His chat begs incessantly for Breakers so I guess he was just feeding the paypiggies.

The Old Hunters was pretty guilty of this too. The bosses in it are considerably more difficult than most of the base game roster, and "Ah... You were by my side, all along." Was the birth of the Zanzibart-isms they shove into most big battles now.

I don't know. I guess my expectations were just lower than most people's since I play From's games usually after the major DLC releases. I've always thought their DLCs were just pretty good, not amazing, and certainly not THEIR BEST CONTENT FOR EACH GAME WOWIE ZOWIE! Like redditors always claim.
I agree with his review

The formula for Souls is fatigued at this point. I played quite a lot of Elden Ring and have zero desire to buy and play the DLC. I hope we have a trend at some point to go back to good 3d action games like a Ninja Gaiden Black.
The main problem with From dlcs imo is that they are essentially standalone campaigns, nothing you do on the main game affects them or nothing you do on them affects the main game, for a RPG this is really bad, after all, it is literally in the name of the genre, roleplaying. Are you going to be the Dark Lord in DS1? Well too bad! You need to help the forces of the Gods defeat Manus all the same. The only exceptions to that is in DSII where the crows you obtain in the DLCs allows you to obtain a new ending and in the Ashes of Ariande expansion where Sister Friede will have different dialogue if you are the Lord of Hollows and even give you a ring out of respect for your position, since Friede is also a member of the church of londor.

The Souls series is at its worst when From forgets that it is a RPG series first and foremost and instead leans solely on the difficult and combat.

From the comments:

Yup that’s pretty much how I feel. If it weren’t for the mimic tear I would’ve never played through this game. Demons souls I imported back then before western release and now it’s a clusterfuck of special move after special move.
In the Elden Ring dlc there is a literal "Zanzibart... Forgive Me" moment. Midra, one of the bosses say:
"Enough... I have endured... more than enough. I ask you forgive me, dearest Nanaya..."
This is the first, last and only time that the name Nanaya is mentioned in the game.

Edit:
I am also going to use this as an opportunity to complain again that FromSoft DLCs lack the roleplaying and reactivity factors. You can yourself be the New Lord of Chaos touched by the Three fingers himself and it still won't change nothing of your meeting with Midra. You are facing Midra, who is also a Lord of Chaos and embodiment of the Frenzy Flame, and there will be no reaction, no difference or extra dialogue, it is like your main game choices don't exist in the DLC.

He also dreamed of having a family with Casca right before the eclipse situation. That’s what he desired in his heart of hearts.

I don’t think there’s romantic/sexual conotations to Griffith and Gut’s relationship. Miura wouldn’t have hesitated to bring that out more. I think Griffith wanted normalcy (like that family life depiction), but can only see people as objects the way people have seen him, and it’s impossible to achieve that with that outlook.

So he attempted to take it by supernatural and incredibly evil means.

I meant in that it is not mentioned by any other NPC or caracther in the game. But yeah some item descriptions mention it. You actually reminded me of something I saw yesterday:

So fucking true. It annoys me to no end that you need a wiki to complete or do NPC quests properly.
Elden Ring really shows how QoL is good rather than dumbing down games. Unless you are a turbo autist, having markers for quest giver location is necessary.

Yes, although quest markers wouldn't even be a necessity if you had a quest log to remind you of all the quests you have as well as small description or summary of what the NPC said like in Morrowind.

It seems iwasn't the only one that got reminded of the Zanzibart meme during the Midra fight.

I'm glad that Synth seems to be stepping away from Breakers for once. His borderline stockholm addiction towards the game was one of his more annoying behaviors.

Yes, the P2W gacha game filled with a playerbase of sweaters and shitters is indeed unfair and unbalanced. Whether you win or lose is largely a gamble based on how much money the players in your lobby have spent. So why get so rage-inducingly assmad when the game plays out EXACTLY how it was designed to play? It's not like he doesn't acknowledge it, constantly referring to it as a bad/dead game and warning people against spending money on it. And yet he just gets mad at it, over and over ad nauseum, like a broken clock. If you're not having fun, either whale a couple $ hundred at the game or quit the damn thing already.

Props to whoever could stay entertained by that, but it got old a long time ago. Man was getting me to question whether or not he had a humiliation fetish from playing that slop every stream. The dangers of what Puarussy does to a mf'er

He kept playing because he liked the overall format/design apart from the gacha/P2W.

Late as hell but I just saw the ER DLC video. Much as I agree with his points the main reason I didn't even wishlist it was because of the price tag. Fuck that. The video just showed me I didn't miss anything.

A format/design of the game eventually goes to shit whenever gacha and P2W (cosmetic or otherwise) comes into play. Every single game from Maplestory, TF2, Warframe, World of Tanks, War Thunder and the thousands of gook-gacha-slop has proven this time and time again.

This just in! If you cheese the game, you're a grifter! What's that? You don't even have an audience and are just some normie on the internet? Too bad! The comment section is great. Both REEEEEEEing and insightful commentary.

Few of my favorites. You know, before some grifter makes a video on him (too late) and a swarm of Plebbitors come barreling in to mass report and dislike the video.

I think those faggots are scared of naming Jews, so they bitch around on the woke question.

Woke is modern era leftism. Its not all that different in ideas leftism has had in the past, thats not what makes it special. No, thats how pervasive it is. The point of woke is to push the message everywhere you can. Videogames are the topic here, but woke is all over the entertainment industry. Not just the output plebs like us consume, but the input as well. The actors better be woke, the director, the moneymen, it all has to be on the level. Kosher, if you will.

But you can walk to work and see woke adverts all over the world we actually live in, the really really real world. Then into your job, with some HR faggot going over all your social media posts to make sure your not still supporting terfs, and you need another telling off from a faggot pretending to be a woman.

You vote for what flavour of woke you want, maybe more constant rightwing brainwashing is needed. Every fucking conversation still about trannies, nigs, crackers, the fucking kikes, whomever can be conjured into being for us to understand.

Woke is the name for the hellscape we live in.

I'm honestly curious if that massive faggot Iron Pineapple will take issue with Synth's video so much that he'll go after it. He-as several comments mentioned-is incapable of saying anything negative and is scared offending people. Probably doesn't want to even entertain the idea of losing viewership and therefore revenue. Either that or he has PTSD from the "incident" with two individuals. Something involving Mochasun and Abyss Gravelord.

Instead of breakers, he plays either the same games he did before, or games no one asked him to play.

He still refuse to play Devil may cry or ninja Gaiden.
