As someone that plays fighting games daily and has been playing just as long if not longer than Phil I refuse to believe his stick is actually broken. These things are made very well and can take a beating.

If it is somehow fucked up the fact he was able to destroy a top of the line arcade stick in less than a year is actually crazy to me.

If I had to guess even though they’ve been out for a while he probably recently discovered the Mad Catz TE3 stick so that’s the new toy he wants. Mad Catz TE sticks are what everyone used back in the 360/ps3 days so being the boomer he is he more than likely still thinks they’re the best.
It's not broken. Sf experts have analyzed Phil's moves and she's constantly mashing buttons. You can go look at the MGS2 catroller cut of This is How You Don't Play to see how he constantly mashes buttons all the time (he was constantly holstering his weapon which only happens if you're mashing the completely wrong button).

This retard has 15 years is bitching about drop inputs in hundred of different games and a dozen of different consoles. He even bitch about drop input in a Mario game.
I just finished watching ALT's recent video into dents losing Pignosis and watching Phil unload on a modded dent who told him that his problems with FromSoft games were skill issues and not the games being bugged was amazing. Phil absolutely refuses to take any accountability and despite having the same excuses for every FromSoft game (Camera fucked up dood it pushed me against a wall) he instead unloaded on the guy. And he has bitched about FromSoft games dropping his inputs all the fucking time, only to suddenly learn time and time again that there is a designed delay between button presses and the attack.

This is all just a massive set up for him to beg for some 600+ dollar gamestick from a dent, only to settle with a 300 dollar one that ultimately gets gifted to him.

Those clips are of a man who absolutely fucking hates his job. I think if DSP had the option he would never play video games again.
He does hate his "job", he's been completely jaded about video games for about 6 years now, he only does it so he can have something in the background to beg to.

I'm sure you've seen those beggars in third world countries playing an out of tune instrument in a very mediocre way (that's 99% of street music performers around the world, not the top 1% ones that make it on youtube for first world people to wonder at), they only play that instrument as an excuse to beg, but they would much rather just stay at home and drink all day.

DSP is exactly the same, only he has a webcam and makes 100K a year.

The Xbox joystick doesn't fit in his PS5 joystick without blocking other buttons. Conclusion: the makers of the joystick are, and I quote, "MORONS":
I have modded a bunch of arcade sticks. What he is doing is perfectly normal -- he has a lever he likes and wants to swap it from one box to another. I'm not sure what kind of lever he wants to put in but since the Qanba Obsidian comes with a Sanwa JLF let's assume it's a Seimitsu LS series lever. A lever like that has some standard mounting plates and configurations.

The Qanba stick is $300 and sticks that expensive are all designed so that you can swap in new parts. They come with mounting positions and space to fit in any parts you like.

So he's doing something reasonable with an expensive product he bought and had reasonable expectations about how it should fit.

Without looking in too much detail I would actually agree with him that Qanba are morons in this case. I have modded some absolute ball busters including a Neo Geo AES controller which has like no space in it. A giant modern arcade stick like that Qanba should absolutely fit other standard levers at a minimum with some minor adjustment -- if an LS-56 for the sake of argument can't fit not due to mounting holes but due to lack of space that's some really bizarre design.

He's now doing a whole segment (10 minutes and counting) on the pre-stream about swapping (parts of) his joystick, as if the joystick is the cause of him losing in SF yesterday.
Watching these clips and this entire situation feels like a skit Jerma would do as a joke, but it's serious, and Phil's actual life.

Allow me a moment of autism. DSP kept saying that Qamba was stupid for making the stick close to the button, and that HORI was betters since they have more space. What this tard is too dumb to realize is that he bought a stick with a Vewlix style set up. A set up the mimics the style of most American arcade cabinets. Hori makes this style too. He just wants to swap sticks with out researching what was inside them. Also the HORI hayabusa stick sucks ass and is bulky, Horis is the only one who makes their sticks like that, He cant even bee mad right

I tune in for one minute and this dude is singing “squish da bug, squish da bug la la la la” and he has four dollars in tips—all this after his baby raging at his joystick. Maybe this will be a new Phil saga? The saga of “the joystick that screwed me over,” we may hear about this around Christmas time

His life is just a comedy of errors exactly like that: He does zero research, confidently assumes he knows best based on nothing, subsequently does everything wrong and when he inevitably fails, never reflects on where he took the wrong path. He did everything correct, everyone else are the morons.

I haven't checked dsp in years, because it's the same 24 hours on am endless loop. How is it that he is still only minutes away from being completely broke?

DSP has that same weird tunnel vision issue that Wings has.
They could stream for 13 hours a day making a pittance but as long as their W/L ratio is high enough they consider the stream a success.
It’s like they think they are “MLG pro gaymers” in a tournament instead of low view streamers

There is a guy who goes through the trouble of getting the inputs from the people playing against him (DSP never shows them, LOL) and posting them

Looks like nonsense if you don't play the game, but luckly there are plenty of SF6 players in the comments

@strider3245

3:51 He has to be the only idiot who jumps so much against JP spikes and still doesnt understand how it works
7:13 Dave thinks there is Air Parry. Imagine mashing buttons in the air and not understanding basic trip guard concept
9:00 Button masher pretending he is not a masher. What a smooth brain blaming the game as always
10:53 Masher mashing out his DRC and is shocked to find out he can't DI immediately

Imagine being so stupid and think that he played perfectly
16:45 Holy mother... what is that back dash input. Those fat hooves should not be abusing the stick like that
17:36 But yet DSP cannot get masters with Acoomer? deranked as well using tahp tier no skill character

22:15 DSP patented double half circles for double quarter circle super input. Slow hands and not understanding input window but still blaming the game.
26:11 DSP mashed out the 360 because he already expected the opponent to block so he will grab. Pattern player extraordinaire
27:34 idiot whiffing buttons as usual in neutral for no reason hoping to get lucky hit. Mirror match/ "low tier" = "hahaha making careless mistakes" "Tahp tier" = "OMG SO LUCKY FUCK THIS GAME"
34:27 Dave pressed a 10f button against 8f when he is -1 and he's astounded that he got stuffed.. true intellect there. Cammy literally has one 11f normal and 18f command normal that has 0% chance of being used in that situation
39:23 DSP's new Lily cheese gimmick. Jump-in and mash super 2 hail mary. Oh... look at that double half circle super input again because he's bad

42:09 Blocking overhead with down back... truly an SF pro and EVO champion
47:13 DSP mashing throw to counter empty jumps LOL crying about getting hit with a cross up button
54:41 I literally counted 20 frames startup to hit and he only reacted 3 frames later. So why is he complaining when he's slow?
56:03 Capcom trolling by giving Lily a 3HP command normal overhead so that shit players like DSP will misinput due to shaky hooves
