This comment on the memeology video killed me:

"The narrow shape Qanba one is standard, the Hori is proprietary. So he's pissed at Qanba for not accepting a proprietary brand's unique shape of joystick."

This is such a Phil thing, lmao. Don't do a bit of research before taking apart your stick, and then complain and call the company 'scammers.'

Phil was raving on Twitter about skipping SFV but falling in love with Street Fighter again with 6. Easy to say that in the beginning when players are learning the new mechanics. Then he needs to switch platforms because the connection is better, but he remembers the fun he had climbing the ranks against noobs. At the same time, Phil was hustling for new a controller because that will help too. The honeymoon phase with SF6 has been long over for Phil and he is not having fun anymore.

Denial, deceit, and delusion.

So with 2 deluxe copies, a 300 dollar stick and whatever the new stick costs could easily put him close to a 1000 dollars spent for sf6.

I guess I should thank Phil for investing so much money for our amusement
I spent $30 on the game and just use a regular controller as I'm a casual.

I want to point out to readers that whilst its fine to spend that much money on a hobby or if you were professional, this fucking idiot, plays the game as a casual and has no business (pun intended) spending this much

Phil will spend upward of a grand on something he hates (video games and playing them for an audience). And he expects everyone to believe that he has spent nothing or next to nothing on something by his own admission he enjoys (mobile games).

First, Phil spent $100+ on the Xbox version on Street Fighter 6 CE plus the season pass. Phil wanted to prove his EVO 2006 4th place finish wasn't just a fluke. He sucked at the game but did nothing wrong. The Xbox version is inferior.

Next, Phil spent $100+ on the PS5 version of Street Fighter 6 CE plus the season pass and $300 on a new controller. According to Phil, PS5 was the superior choice and his new controller was more than worth the money. He sucked at the game but did nothing wrong. The settings were incorrect.

Then, Phil played with the settings and declared all his input problems were solved. According to Phil, he shouldn't lose anymore because of online scrub tactics. He sucked at the game but did nothing wrong. The controller was the blame.

Now, he disassembled the controller to fix the issue with dropped inputs. The controller is now broken. Phil did nothing wrong. The manufacturers are to blame.

I guess the DSP's DSP is now going to be a fundraiser for a new controller. One that will solve all his issues, until it doesn't.

I wonder if he will start begging for a Hitbox. And a PC, so he can drop another $100 on a Steam copy of the game and convince himself that the Hitbox makes all the difference as he climbs back to master rank, only for history to repeat itself for the third time.

Phil, the next step is building an awesome fgcOS PC that gives you the advantage over everyone.

I seriously can't wait until the new. although slightly cheaper joysticks shows up and it's also a piece of shit, just like the 300 dollar one. All this sperging over a video game that he was decent at 20 years ago.. He really is stuck in his personal hell.
I guess he could also just send in the one he took apart and get it repaired but knowing Dave, I wouldn't bet on it.

Okay im not versed in fighting game set ups like those, so.let me see if i understood right and feel free to correct me.

He disassembled the thing replaced it with other parts and along the way he fucked it up and now it doesnt work properly? Ive seen here that those type of set ups can have their buttons/joystick replaced with others, if so what are the odds that dsp accidentally cut a cable or he put the part the wromg way of actually jammed it in such way that its unresponsive.

I'm not much into the DSP thing, but I know a certain youtuber who would love to take on that controller and fix it as good as new. But I think if they heard where it came from, they'd decline to repair it lol.
