The commander of the 401st Armored Brigade's 52nd Battalion, Lt. Col. Daniel Ella, was moderately wounded during fighting in the Tel Sultan neighborhood of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the military says.

The officer was wounded amid a clash with gunmen in the area.

He was taken to a hospital in Israel and his family was notified, the army adds.
Radioing his soldiers to "keep fighting, destroy their ass" and that he'll be back:

This is a good reminder that, despite all the fighting, bombardment, ect, Hamas is by no means destroyed yet. They're still firmly in control and still sheltering among civilians.

Also a reminder that 90% of all the "International Humanitarian Aid" food and supplies are either going directly to them or being immediately taken by them, only given out to the general populace as rewards or bribes.

The IDF has ordered the evacuation of all of Gaza City (again):

Two Israelis were killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack yesterday:

Noa and Nir Baranes, are named as the victims of yesterday's Hezbollah rocket attack on the Golan Heights.

The couple from Kibbutz Ortal, both aged 46, are survived by their three children.

They were killed when a Hezbollah rocket struck their car near the Nafah Junction, just south of their hometown.
Demolitions in Gaza:

Well, to be precise that piece of land has been named Palestine far longer that is has been named Judea, and the historical region of Judea only compromises a small part of the current territory of Israel. (Back in ancient times, you had the Kingdom of Judea and the Kingdom of Israel, they warred against each other constantly)
Go back to the Clinton's asshole.

Liora, Noa Argamani's mother who was sick with terminal cancer has sadly passed away from cancer. (a) She was age 61.

Noa was kidnapped by Hamas and was rescued only 3.5 weeks ago. Her mother's last wish was to see her again. Her wish came true, if only for a little while.
Heart react but also fucking sad. I can't imagine having a sister or daughter kidnapped by Hamas. Its no wonder the Israeli's are going scorched earth.

Israel attempted to grease another big-name Hamas commander and his second-in-command. Results of the strike are TBD but naturally Gazoids are claiming that 71 dindu nuffins were murdered in the strike on nothing.

New York Times being autistic as ever.
Didn't know shooting up a concert and kidnapping/raping women was a "conventional military maneuver". I guess Japanese comfort women were also an unremarkable little maneuver.
something something "sexual emergency"
something something "unique culture"
something something "oppressed youths"
something something "rape requires systemic power"
something something "no that's not what that word means!"

Netanyahu, speaking at a press conference, says that there is still no confirmation of their deaths.

The IDF is still assessing the results of its airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip this morning, targeting Mohammed Deif, the commander of Hamas's military wing, and another top commander.

According to the IDF's latest assessments Rafa'a Salameh, the commander of Hamas's Khan Younis Brigade, was killed in the strike.

The targeted site in the al-Mawasi area belonged to Salameh, according to military sources. The site is located around 500 meters away from the furthest point the IDF advanced to in Khan Younis earlier this year.

Recently, Deif reached the compound, and indications of this reached the army overnight.

Over the following hours, the IDF worked to verify the information, and once it was confirmed, the airstrike was carried out. The IDF also spent the time verifying that no hostages were held in the compound before the strike.

The IDF believes that its intelligence indicating Deif was at the site is highly accurate, although it still cannot fully confirm he was killed in the attack. The military also believes Hamas will attempt to hide Deif's death for some time.
