I think getting at least a handful of screenshots of famous stuff would be good. Research sucks, as you know, because finding old posts is really hard by nature of the platform and backholing. I think my old phone has a bunch of old stuff on it. I'll see about putting some stuff together.

Another interesting thing about iFunny is that the actually quality "deep" community is really tiny compared to most social media sites. Even the biggest accounts will have like at most 10K+ subs and a bunch of those are either inactive or bots. Most really good posts that get shared around a lot will only get like a few thousand likes.
It reminds me of the real life phenomenon where small islands will develop really niche and weird organisms that are unique to the rest of the world.
Does anybody know internet trends that originated on iFunny? I mentioned scrollsposting earlier. I know people talk about the "doge renaissance" as being an iFunny thing too.

Doge coming back was ifunny, its hard for me to remember specific examples. I think that which chipmunk is getting the best head meme that was big for like a month years ago started on ifunny too. It was very common for me to see a meme on ifunny and then have friends send it to me months later from reddit or tiktok or instagram or whatever. I think there are a few know your meme articles that cite ifunny as a source.

Something I find strange, and I just thought of it, ifunny comments auto deleted comments that said "nigga" or "fag".
But in the last few weeks or so it was changed so you can actually call someone a "fag ass nigga" if you were so inclined.
But now they're all upset about hate speech and shit? It has to be them outsourcing to India and that's the only reason they're doing this shit. If I recall the user's name at the time was LifeisBeautiful and now goes by BeuorginaPrincipessa or something Italian like that. He came back under that new name and started posting tradlife stuff like modern homesteader crap like how to grow potatoes in only 5 feet of dirt or whatever.

He also begged accounts to draw commissions of women being raped by dogs, I don’t have those messages, someone does, it gets posted every now and again.

Ifunny was the last holy ground for based zoomers. They always shit on troons. Honestly the most fucking annoying thing about ifunny is all the Christian LARPfags. I don't get why those people think that that's the place to proselytize. They go from calling someone with a Mjolnir or valknut photo a pagan larpfag (which is true) but in the same breath post pictures of crusaders with captions like "DEUS VULT, RECLAIM THE HOLY LAND!"
